Soapbox Comments

From WB6IZG, Bruce

Had fun in SSS but did not come across any new SKCC people.

From K3ZGA, Bob

I am currently recovering from back surgery so operating time is short periods here and there. I enjoyed working the CQS stations. Best 73,

From W4RQ, Rich

Our first Slow Speed Saunter is in the books now. Thanks to all who participated! I had good QSOs and Fine chats with other members in TX, IL, NC, and CT at speeds from 7 wpm to 12 wpm and really enjoyed myself. I also eavesdropped a bit around 20m and 40m and was happy to hear quite a bit of slow speed activity. I hope to contact many more of you next month !

W4RQ

From K9FW, Al

The 5 oz weight and hours of adjustment=10wpm with a Viproplex bug. SOME FUN!!!!

From KA9GKE, Rose

This was a good experience for me and helpful. Looking forward to the next SSS.

From KB9QG, Jeff

First SKCC event using the new SKCC 20712 number.

From N8KR, Ken

Pictured is SKCC's newest member (Got his number 45 minutes before the start of the Saunter) Jeff-KB9QG #20712 at my station. Another Fort Wayne area ham!! Jeff made 5 contacts with his new number!

From WA9BBN, Ed

Glad to work one of our new local SKCC members, KB9QG. Also, thanks to the SKCC ops that had QSOs with my YL, KA9GKE as she gains experience.

From AC2C, RON

Too many things going on here so had very little time for the first saunter. Hope to be more active next month.

From AK3X, Peter

Only had a few minutes here and there to participate. Fun event. Wish there were more new people; everyone I worked was a familiar call except one. 72 until next month.

From K8AQM, Ted

Good start for SSS but need slow speed stations to call "CQS." It's hard to call when you're not secure with code but this will bring those who are to your aid and help you along. Need more ops next month, join the fun!

From N8XI, Rick

Not a bad start to the Saunter. But had home duties and a test at the hospital...

From KB4QQJ, Randy

That was fun, even if the bands wern't in the best of shape. for a while 40m was doing well but then it just tanked. Still managed to work a good bunch of members and two non members who wanted to know what CQS was all about. Looking forward to future CQS events.
73 for now,

From AF2Z, Drew

I had little time for this one but just had to make a couple of QSOs for the inaugural event; thanks Al K9FW and Robert VE2KZW. I hope it was a good one and there will be many more to come!

From WA2JSG, Curt

Nice time, with several members on the sked page.
Ran 75w into a vertical using my Kent sk. Looking forward to this event in future months.

From KC2ICA, Dave

Although my 1 watt sig only made it out to one other ham, this relaxed "contest" was loads of fun. The weather was great at my portable location in Brooklyn, NY, and it was great fun listening to others. I'm already looking forward to the next SS event.

From VE2KZW, Robert

What a nice event! I did two very short sessions and completed 6 QSOs at a pace I could copy without writing down characters as they came. Skills are slowly building up and I am looking forward to the next WES. Thanks to those who made this possible. 73.

From GM0EUL, Peter

Only managed one. Using my Palm Portable Key (PPK). It's one of the very last, bought a few days after Palm Radio closed down and they were getting very scarce. It's a fun little key but doesn't get much use. See you all in WES.

From W4LSV, Barry

Only able to participate for 1 hour. All 7 QSO’s were new contacts for me. One of them was only the 3rd CW QSO for that Operator. So I think this new monthly event is a success. A great way to involve those working on improving their copying ability. CU next month

From KA5TJS, Allen

Went back and looked at the log and had more than I thought! Had one none member and great QSO's with 6 members. One was a +20k guy. You can't tell from the membership nr. how fast they are. Had fun Sunday night. CU next month.

From KK0I, Jack

A fine start for the first CQS event. Not as many participating from what I heard when I was on. Worked mostly the regulars...hoping to see some "new" fists next time. Thanks for all you with good "ears" out there...QRP 5w. Looking forward to the next CQS event. 73 all, jack

From WB9TFF, Donna V.

Thanks for the sss q's. I was slower speed than usual and made a few more q's for my T x8 and Maple Leaf quests.
