I don't think many got the memo that the SKS changed dates this month.

Condx not good from here either.

Happy Holidays to all.

73 Dave K6RC

WS9E Operated by: Joe

No action on the higher bands. I heard signals only on 40 and 80. Strictly hunt and pounce, tonight. I used the Orion, stealth dipole and the Speed-X key. Thanks for the contacts. Have a great holiday season. See you in 2014.

KIØI Operated by: Mark

Had a little supper break in the middle so not a full timer this sprint.Bands were a little weak here with 20m shut down when I got back. 80 was a little slow yet so I ran a freq on 40 til 0200. QSB played heck on 40 but was the best go at it. Last caller was VE3DTI to end the period. Thanks everyone for a year of fun sprints and have a happy holiday season. 73 Mark KI0I

K8TEZ Operated by: Larry

Oh well, had a great time in the sprint & nice to work k8xxx on 80 meters...Thanks Don.....I don't think I will get my Christmas wish for this year but I do wish everyone in the SKCC a very Merry Christmas & a Happy 2014...also great to work Dick k2rfp & Ron AC2c & thanks to everyone who helps out in the club...Ron, just down loaded the latest version of your logger & it worked great tonight...73's to all & a good night...Larry 8426 T

Dear Santa..Here is a helpful hint for this year.....

WAØBGV Operated by: Slim

Thanks for all the QSOs. Bands seemed poor at my Qth. 73 til nex time.

NØUMP Operated by: Bill

I almost missed it. I didn't think about the dates falling like they do this month. Good thing we got ole outlaw Slim watching things for us.
Band conditions weren't real good but I still had a good time. Thanks to all those who make this group so much fun...73 es cul....Outlaw Bill N0UMP.

KDØEKT Operated by: Jason

Conditions were not great on 20 or 40, but not bad on 80 and 160.

W3NP Operated by: Dave

Band conditions were not that bad. I started on 20 and worked some pretty strong stations. The midwest was somewhat weak into WV but the west coast was fb. I even worked a stn in OH with a good signal so the skip distances were all over the place. Went to 40 and didn't do too well there so off to 80 where I parked on 3554 for the rest of the time. I worked K8XXX but didn't know he was the special bonus member until after the sprint.
Rig: Ten Tec Eagle @ 85 watts. Keys used this evening: Vibroplex J36, Czech Army key, and WW2 German key.
Merry Christmas from WV

The setup this evening

N8KR Operated by: Ken

Activity seemed way down . . . Perhaps those missing will show next week! Merry Christmas.

WA1VIL Operated by: Greg

Always fun to sprint even if I only got 20 minutes of time on the air in between snow shoveling! Didn't have time to let the heater under the desk in the shack warm up so used the "auxiliary operating position" with an FT817 tied to an attic trap dipole that was well shielded by about 8" of snow and ice. Amazed that I worked anybody-let alone Don's bonus station! 73 and happy holidays to all!

W6FPS Operated by: Ron

I spent last weekend removing twenty-five years of wire antennas from my attic. I replaced them with a 10 meter and a 15 meter Moxom. The 15 meter is pointed at Europe and the 10 meter points at South America. I turned on rig and without touching the dial I worked Argentina. I hope that's a sign of good things to come.
Happy Holidays and 73s to all, Ron

N3EIN Operated by: Matt

Good conditions on 80 and 40 meters in PA this evening working Charles-AI4UN in GA on 80 and Ed-W7GVE (599) in AZ on 40. CU for CW Fun Event on the 21st.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
N3EIN/TenTec C-21/G5RV Lite/SKCC Key

K8WSN Operated by: Bill

Enjoyed the sprint as always. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

NØUYN Operated by: Dennis

I only worked the first half hour of the Sprint. Then I had to get ready and go to a multi-club holiday dinner. Thanks for contacts with Ed W7GVE, Ken N8KR, Dave K6RC, Gene K8EE, and bonus station Don K8XXX. Merry Christmas and 73.

KI8JY Operated by: Dave

Thanks to all for working me tonight. I used AC2C's logger again for the second time and greatly appreciated having it. It was fun finally getting a QSO with K8XXX on 80m (after unsuccessful attempts on 20m and 40m). Also, it was nice working Dave, W3NP on three bands, and Ed, W7GVE, on two. Best wishes to all for 2014.

N8KQ Operated by: Randy

Tnx fer the contacts to all I wrkd in this sprint. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas es a Great New Year. Hope to wrk a bunch in the K3Y anniversary event next month. 73 Randy

WA2JSG Operated by: Curt

Haven't been home for last several days so I missed this one. Just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and see y'all next month. dit dit

W4HAY Operated by: Frank

Great WES. Used the Junker this time around. 80 had a high noise level here, but 40 was relatively quiet. 20 was kaput.

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year. See y'all for SKN.

WA6OEF Operated by: Preston

Condx were not the greatest, but had fun just the same.
Tried and tried to get K8ee contact without any luck... Next time Gene!
73's

WA8DOF Operated by: Dave

I missed the memo concerning the date change. Heard some activity just as the sprint was ending, and realized that I had screwed up. Maybe next month.

ADØAB Operated by: Jim

Thanks everyone for the QSOs and have a surprising and exciting Christmas.

AC2C Operated by: Ron

Great SKS. I very seldom can participate in the Monthly SKS because it coincides with the Monthly Local club meeting.

VE7KBN/W7 Operated by: Ken

Used IC7000 with buddipole dipole setup. Different QTH made
it interesting| . Thanks for the SKS

K8EE Operated by: Gene

What has happened to the bands? Why are they so crappy? Sorry to those that I could not pull out of the noise. I tried my brand new Nye Viking key for the first time. Looks like I need some more practice to get used to the new feel of it. 73 to all.

W7GVE Operated by: Ed

Did not have my A game for this one--- Still a good time

K2RFP Operated by: Dick

I forgot to program my biological clock to EST so I missed the first hour, duh!
Don't forget CWFun Event-9 this weekend. (cwfun.org)
Icom-7600 at 25w to 80m loop.

W1HFF Operated by: Joe

All contacts on 40. Thanks everyone.

K8XXX Operated by: Don

Bands were not good but the four of us had fun. It's always fun to operate with good friends! Thanks to all those stations that gave us a call. Four ops: K8AQM, K8KIC, KD8SKO and NU8Z(his first ever SKS!)

KF7DS Operated by: Don

Had only 20 minutes but got four different states, all with good signals. See everyone next month in K3Y - Happy Holidays. Don KF7DS

N8BB Operated by: Werner

Got 1

AA9L Operated by: Rich

Stayed on 40 meters even though it seemed to die the second hour.
Using my Vibroplex was fun for me but maybe not others, hi.

KB7EEG Operated by: Chris

I wonder if everyone thought it was next week??? Tnks to the stations I did work who slowed down and stayed with me TY. Merry Xmas to all, 73 de Chris/KB7EEG

VE3DTI Operated by: Jose

Only 40m was open at the 45 deg parallel. The antenna was frozen solid and the ground under 30 cm of snow, but the KX3 at 5W did nevertheless manage 5 QSOs with 4 states (MO, MI, MN and even Russ' Special Station in NE). TU, 73 and Season's Greetings to all. Jose VE3DTI.

WL7WH Operated by: Bob

Didn't realize the SKS was moved up a week....only operated short time...guess I should have paid better attention...as usual another fun event!!!

KØKEX Operated by: Rick

This is a busy time for everyone but always enjoy some radio time working the SKCC events. Welcome new members to the group as well as the oldies. As 2013 winds down I look forward to the 2014 K3Y anniversary event. This morning in KC, freezing rain and the predication for snow thru the weekend with 4" to 7". Safe travels to everyone and a Merry Christmas to all....73 CU on the bands..
