Soapbox Comments

From AC9XS, Steve

Thanks for the opportunity to be the bonus station this month. Had a good time.

From AE7AP, Rob

Too much fun!

From AK3X, Peter

Just made the last hour of the sprint. One contact on 20 and switched to 40 for the rest. Good signals for the most part. 72 to all.

From BA3AX, Tony zhang

Thank you skcc.

From K0KEX, Rick

Severe WX passed thru the area mid-afternoon producing High winds, Hail, & Lightning. Our storm spotter team documented many of the details, one which has been shared here. A fellow CW op & SKCC member captured this Lightning about 300 yards from his 40M antenna. The WX cleared enough for a few 40M qso's Thank you all 73 Rick Tks to K6FN for the image

K0KEX

From K4JPN, Steve

Great fun good to see 20M open some QRN on 40M but worked a few. Thanks for all who pulled out my 4W QRP signal. 73 Steve K4JPN

From K7ESQ, John

Thanks everyone. It was nice to hear all the dits and dahs on the bands again. 73!

From KA2KGP, Tom

Another good SKS. 80m. was nil, but a few were caught on 20m. with 40m. being the best band here in WNY. Rog: IC-7000 at 100w. into a G5RV up 25 ft. w/ old WWII German Junkers straight key (my favorite!) 73 & CU next SKS.

From KE5YUM, Terry

Thanks to all who worked me. Great signals were plentiful on 20 meters with 579 and 599 signals including to MT. All the best, Terry FT 710 and CWMORSE straight key.

From KF9NL, Marvin

ECI-QRP Group

From KI5PED, Andy

I operated only on 20m tonight. I had a great 30-minute run calling CQ (maybe my best CQ run in any SKCC event yet). TNX to everyone who gave me a call. SRI to Steve, whom I couldn't copy toward the end of the event. Special TNX to Jim for the nice 20-minute rag chew after SKS concluded. Phew, my arm was tired, and I need a more comfy chair!

From KI7PBR, Gary

nice to have somewhat decent signals again

From N2TNN, Dean

Came in late but fun stuff

From N3KRX, Jerry

Bands were not to bad and it was fun doing S&P. Thanks to all who gave me Qs, see you all next time. Even tried out the kitties. 73, Jerry N3KRX

N3KRX

From N5TML, Tim

I enjoyed the sprint this month. Thanks for the QSOs! 73, Tim.

From N9DGL, Bruce

Had a short but sweet SKS. Always fun! This is a picture of me working Field Day back in about 1986 in Shawano Wisc with some soon to be hams. 73's Bruce

N9DGL

From NA5LU, Enrique Capone

Lots of fun!!!!

From NA5N, PAUL

Late start, only worked 6, but still fun.

From NE9EE, NEE

Station: 5 band 2 element Quad at 40 feet, 40 and 80 meter inverted V at 30 feet. Icom 7300 and RF2K-S solid state amplifier. Worked quite a few newer numbers and 2 "NONE". Had a lot of fun as usual.

From VE7HI, Ken

Thanks for the sprints and the ops who take part in it! CUL!

From W1DV, Dave

Got a late start, only worked the last hour and stayed on 40M entire time. Glad to cross paths with bonus station, tnx Steve. Worked several high numbers (new members), and two non-members; good PR for the club. There is a lot of interest when non-members hear "CQ SKS". Tnx Cathy for managing this event - see all next month // dit dit

W1DV

From W1ZIY, Ron

ONLY 1 QSO AND HAD TO LEAVE

From W3CRS, Jim

W3CRS is the callsign of the Cornwall Ranger Station ARC (https://w3crs.org/). This was our first SKS event since getting our SKCC#. Others were invited, but I ended up being the only operator this time. I'm Jim, AF3Z. I put out a call on 7052 at about 0001z and was still there as the sprint ended. I was using a K3 @ 70w to an OCF dipole. It was a good time.

W3CRS

From W3NCK, NiCK

very enjoyable evening.

From W4CMG, Cathy

Only had an hour - thank you for participating in the SKS :)

From W4JM, Steve

My first time in the Monthly contest. It was fun. Thanks to all, Steve W4JM

From W4NLT, Andy

Some action on 20M but most action on 40M. Thanks to all that copied my QRP signal. 72/73 Andy

From W8YD, Bob

Sorry to say I started late then had to leave for a local 9PM 10 meter net which is also on Tuesdays. I hate to miss it and I hate to miss part of the Sprint. Daylight time cuts into it even more. What's a guy to do?

From W9KMK, Gene

Many storms to work around tonight, signals on 20M were strong. Thank you for the good QSO's! 73 Gene

From WA3AAN, Grant

40m conditions very good. Great fun.

From WA9CWE, Steve

Enjoyed this second SKS for me. The band was good into my area, central Indiana. I'm a QRP on CW and find it to be very effective. 73, Steve WA9CWE

From WB4AJL, Dave Baker

More QRN here in western North Carolina on 20 meters than on 40! Weird. Plus fluttery signals. Other than that, easy copy, haw. Got to use my new N2ZN straight key for the first time tonight. Bearings became so overheated that I had to open a window. (Naw, kidding.) Fun to run into W4CMG tonight, whom I saw multiple times among the 30,000 people at the Dayton Hamvention. Thanks for leading the SKS, Cathy!

From WB9HFK, Mark

I stayed on 20M for the entire time. Great fun! Thanks for the QSO's and see everyone next time! 73, Mark WB9HFK

From WD4LSS, Neal

This was my first SKS. It was fun and hope to see you next month. 73 Neal -WD4LSS

From WG0Y, Dave

Operating from (DM06ks) Frenso County California outside the entrance to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks. The old 18AVT 5-Band vert is working FB.

WG0Y

From WN1MB, Jeff

Stumbled upon SKS quite by accident.Glad I did. The usual relaxed, courteous SKCC folks. Always a pleasure! 72/73

From WY6S, Brent

Late start and a noisy band, but - hey - who's complaining. Conditions were a lot better than WES 8*) Thanks again all - it was a blast!
