Fun Month. Lots of great contacts and qso's. Let's do it again. Spring has Sprung.

This is my first ever Brag submission and was the result of my effort to complete the requirements for Senator during April.
Thanks for all of the contacts.

Better month for me than March. Picked up a Vibroplex Blue Racer being sold by a local SKCC member and got to use that for the last week of April. Just what I needed, yet another bug!

I didn't get as many as I had hoped but still a fun month. Used either my TS-590SG or my old IC-7000 into my only HF antenna, a Butternut HF-6v vertical.

I can't even count myself in worked the bonus station. April flew by, I started on the 1st, within a couple of hours I worked the bonus station for March, he said "what do I do now for the rest of the month?" I tried to be on the air as much as I could, I can now say I am as one with my bug, worked so many stations, QRP between LI and CA, different antennas, with different results. Spend a month trying to work stations and it's a learning experience for propagation and what bands will work. I made a map of all my QSO's between the brag and SKS bonus, only missing RI, VT, ND, WY, NV and AK for WAS, OCF antenna, worked New Zealand on 17m, Cuba, Spain, Swiss, France, thank you Bert, Holland, Germany Belgium, Croatia, PR and a couple of provinces in Canada, Oh yeah, made Senator, but this isn't the end, so many more things to chase after. If the Good Lord grants me another year I volunteer for April 2022, 73 and thanks to all for making it a great month. John K2IZ

Man band conditions were all over the place this month, but thx to all my new contacts. Special shout out to F6HKA Bert for my first QRP+ DX contact on 40m. Here's to nicer weather and better chances for portable operation! 73 all!

Some tough band condx, but still had fun.

Bread and butter band was 40 meters just before and after sunset all month out here on West Coast. Higher bands minimal.

Slow month-got sidetracked for a good part of it. Hope to do better in May.

I did better than in previous months. I got a strong start in the April SSS. And I dabbled in a little QRP collecting calls toward the NAQCC Challenge. I now need 37 to reach Tx6.

Bad propagation as usual but worked some 20 US stations on the last day when 20 meters was open late. Also got the bonus station that day. Thanks all for the QSOs!

Thank you for the QSOs. I've been picking up a lot of newer stations this month. Also making progress toward the WAS endorsements... but, need a lot more help from Solar Cycle 25.

Can't wait for band condx to improve although we did have some good days.

I had more QSO's than usual this month, excluding the sprints. I did go active on the schedule page more and talked with more hams. So thanks to all those I talked with.
I have been working on improving the display on my ICOM 7300 and attached an example! I like this one!!

April highlights included reaching Tx8 during WES, waiting to hear Bert F6HKA for 1st QSO toward my S, and enjoying an 81-minute QSO with Jack KK0I, his Marathon QSO #100. But hey, all SKCC QSOs are fun!

April had a lot more SKCC activity.

A good month for me though propagation was certainly not so good but I managed to snag the Brag Station and 20 others with my less than optimal antenna situation so I'm happy none the less. See you on the bands for the May hunt. 73
