Gene, KL7GLL manages the certificate program for WES participants. With design help from from Ron, AC2C, and Pete, KC1JB, a series of beautiful certificates have been developded and will sent out in .pdf format to qualifying WES entrants.

There are four classes of participation certificates as follows:

1) all first-time entrants – These certificates have an orange border with J-38 key watermark in background.

2) DX entrants to recognize multiple entries of 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. WES events.  These certificates have a red border, with a different key watermark for each level.  For example, with 5 DX entries, the certificate has the J-38 key watermark; for 10 DX entries, the certificate has a Navy flameproof key watermark; for 15 DX entries, the certificate has a watermark of an NT9K homebrew key crafted in corian; for 20 DX entries, the certificate has a Vibroplex deluxe key watermark.

3) QRP entrants to recognize multiple entries of 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. WES events.  These certificates have a green border, with a different key watermark for each level, similar to the pattern for the DX certificates above.

4) Regular U.S. participants to recognize multiple entries of  10, 25, 50, etc. WES events. These certificates have a blue border, with a different key watermark for each level, similar to the pattern for the DX certificates above.

Certificate recipients for DX, QRP, and regular U.S. recognition levels are noted on the “WES Statistics” Webpage, with this list updated after each WES.. For a limited time (through December 31, 2009), WES Awards Manager Gene, KL7GLL, will, upon request, send new certificates to those who achieved their participation level before these certificates became available.
