Saturday night was RuuuuuF! But, Sunday was great. Logged on three bands: N9QU-Leo, NT9K-Bill, AA9KH-Jay, AC2C-Ron, and K9AAA-Dave. Logged 18 C's and 31 T's and all ten call areas. The hightest SKCC NR was 3984 Duane K4LLN, and the lowest NR was 9 Ken AD5QB.
Great sounding fists heard from Dave WB9WHG and Red W3RT. Loudest in Arizona was Ed N0EK. Loudest QRP was John K8ASA/4 running 5 watts. Good to QSO with DX from Walt LW3EX. Walt was very loud on 15m and 20m. Thanks Walt.

N9QU expected more. got less. But had fun!

NK1N My first SKS! There will be more! I heard K9SKC on 40 right at the end but couldn't raise him on 5W. Next time! 73, Glen, NK1N

W6ZO Conditions not good in Arkansas. The NACQP didnt help either. Looking foward to the next one.

KC9HGW Hearing K9SKC on the air reminded me of the WES. I was able to work the Sprint here and there through Sunday. It was good to collect some new numbers and a bunch of Centurions.

AA9KH Thanks to all for the fun event. Hope to spend more time with it next go 'round. Many thanks to Jack W7QQQ for activating K9SKC ... and, for working me on 3 bands, hi. GL.

KC2EGL I forgot it was the WES. I only worked 2 stations today. K2A/6 and W6UT. Dennis was the op for K2A/6 so I got a two for one deal. I would have operated more but I am a bit under the weather. Bloody head cold!!! UGH! Dennis gave me my 8th K2A station for the month. Only 2 to go for all 10. I am still trying to find our friends in HI and AK.

N5PU Work all ten districts es K9SKC! Had lots of fun...too bad I wasn't in it for more time!

K4LNN Had a great time. I used my new LT SKCC key serial NR 115. Being a new member, this was my first SKCC contest and I really enjoyed it. Thanks to all who put it together.

AC2C Sure seemed like a good sprint -- I wish I'd been able to put more time into it. W7QQQ did a great job of keeping K9SKC active on all the bands.

W3RT Too many other committments to fully enjoy the WES this time. I think I may have recruited two new members, tho'.

Tnx for all that did get into my log.

KL1WE I have been a Ham for 3 1/2 years and have worked hard to go from Tech. with code to Extra Class this October. I have enjoyed hearing CW for years as my OM, W6HF made his contacts all over the world. Mastering the Code has been a challenge for me and I am very nervous when on the air. All of the SKCC operators were very patient and supportive. I look forward to improving and overcoming my fears. Thank you all so very much.

AF2Z Wasn't too active this sprint but had the rig on scan and answered a few CQ's. Worked the Club call on 15 & 20. Also tried on 40 for a triple, but he couldn't hear me; condx were changing fast. My station: K2, Junker & endfed wire.

NG7Z I really didn't get much time for the sprint this weekend. Just made a few contacts as time allowed. Hope to make a better showing next time.

W6UT Another great WES. Worked 20 and 15M. Operated as K2A/6 as well. All Qs got 2 for 1. Did do some WARC bands (not counted here) on request. Enjoyable Sprint.

KB4QQJ Well...I'm a fairly new member (Oct-2007) and this has been the most fun yet. The bands were full of SKCC and K2A/x. I got to operate a brief period as K2A/4 during the WES. I heard a lot of new #'s and what I enjoyed the most was hearing a LOT more QRP operators!! I worked QRP and managed the 100pt bonus for working all ten areas plus (Thank You Max) KH6. I want to thank each and every op that tried or made it to my log. My personal best score to date and Most Fun as well. Special Thanks to Walt, LW3EX, that was a 1013 miles per watt contact for me. Albeit one way I'll take it!!! Welcome to SKCC WES Walt!!

KA3CTQ Wedged in a few QSOs between sorting QSL cards.

NT9K The first half was terrible. The second half really was fun. With all the K2A action, the bands were hopping. Some hightlights were working my friend Rich KB3OMJ as his first sprint contact, working LW3EX on 15 meters, working Jack W7QQQ as K9SKC on 3 bands. I even took some time off to work a few K2A's on 30 meters. (No sks on WARC bands)

I had just finished a qso and hear NT9K up 2. I went there and had my first official marathon QSO entry with Bert W5ZR. Lasted abt 1 hour 10 minutes. Bert wore me out and I thank him for suffering through the last 20 minutes when my glass arm set in.

LW3EX First "WES" entry, I was able to work DX during opening twrd USA, only in 21 and 14MHz on Sunday late evening. My first Q was Mr "Bonus" Jack K9SKC on 15m with a loud sig, for a moment I thought that it would be quite easy hi hi, but cndx were difficult on this side with up-down sigs.
Many tnx to all for QSO´s made & missed, I enjoyed and spent a great time.

K0QH Worked Jack,W7QQQ using the club call. I didn't intend to get on the air, was tuning around, and didn't even have a key hooked up to the radio when I heard him call CQ.
I used the ptt switch on my hand mic to work him. My cw must have been horrible, no side-tone and I've been away from cw for some time. Thanks Jack for pulling me out.

W9TFC Here is a picture on my station I set up for the JAN SPRINT. The key is a J-38 (late 1940s?), OP John (1946), Eico Kit 720 transmitter (early 60s), Knight Kit VFO (early 60s), and Drake 2-C receiver (early 70s). I had fun and the shack was the warmest room in the house.

W1EJ As usual no time for radio when my wife has dollhouse projects for me to finish; but, she turned me loose for a bike ride Sunday afternoon. I turned on the rig in the garage while checking out the bike and heard an LW calling CQ SKCC! Walt LW3EX was booming in on 20 meters so I made time for one contact. Thanks Walt you made my day.

K8JD This was a "honeydew" weekend for me ("you never do any work around here"--Honey) So only had a few hours to get on radio at the end..Good that the NA was done by then. Jumping between 40 and 80 mostly but did snag one on 160M.

KG4W Worked SKS on Sunday only. Did the NAQP contest Sat. John N9GGE was using 2 Watts from Ill & we worked on 40 at 1915Z, wow nice going John. KD8GZ was using 5 Watts on 80 from Ohio near contest end & we made the contact. Had several stns calling me on 80 near end of the event that I could not pull out, ie- a WA1, a K2 & a W2, I had high noise with light rain.
73 to all, it's been awhile since I did a SKS. Ed

KD5RSS Conditions ruff but worth the try. Almost forgot and had a late start but glad to participate. Thanks all for a great club. 73's Butch

N3JJT Well, again, a late start, but still having fun. I missed the start due to our club's annual dinner. Good reason. Looking forward to the 2 hour sprint.

73..Scott

K0DBK Had a great time. It was the first time I made contact with K9SKC. The band conditions could have been better, but I can't complain. Again, it was a blast.

KL7GLL Wasn't able to spend much time but highlight was working K2A/KH6 on 40 mtrs -- Tnx Max!! Nice job by Jack, W7QQQ, in making K9SKC readily available. Always a fun time!!

K5IZO Saturday night, with the NAQP competing, I made only one QSO. However it was with K9SKC. Sunday, things really opened up. The Qs were pretty much evenly distributed on 20M and 40M, with my last Q on 80M and did work all 10 call areas. I used 9 of my keys for the first time. I had a good time and look forward to Tuesday night.
Tnx es 73, de John
