First Sprint with my new Kent KT-1 key. I have most luck on 20m and need a better antenna for 40m, but thanks to those who could hear me on 40m.

KA5DWI Operated by: Art

I took a couple of hours off from my hectic summer and tapped on the straight key. Sorry if I was sloppy. I am having a little arthritis in my wrist. I had a good time and was surprised that 40-Meters, despite the QRN was better than 20. 20-Meters never sounded that good and was more stretched out than what I thought it would be.

N3PDT Operated by: Doug

Fun sprint! 20m was pretty long, but open and busy the first hour and a half. Went to 40m for last 30 minutes, and it seemed to be hopping too. Biggest surprise/thrill of the night: Getting a call from CN8YR Med in Morocco! Thanks Med, and thanks to all. See you in WES.

KØSKC Operated by: Mark

Fun to run the club call again ,now with the new "T" attached.A lot of nice sigs tonite unfortunatly the QRN was terrible and made copy ruff on all but the loudest of you. I`m sorry for some missed calls because of static.I know there were a few. Anyway, thanks to all who answered the call of CQ SKS.Always a load of fun in two hrs time. 73 CU AGN Mark K0SKC/ki0i 10739T

K8JD Operated by: John

First tried 20M but only managed 3 QSOs after 15 min of CQs. Mostly got my balance of QSOs on 40M and finally got 2 more on 80M. Just could not get a good string of QSOs going this time.

N9YDZ Operated by: Mark

Enjoyed the SKS.

N5JPX Operated by: Jim

Fun as always! Lots of QRN behind the thunderstorms that roared through here earlier but some really nice signals. Thanks for another great SKCC Sprint.

N3EIN Operated by: Matt

I started at 0000Z working the only signal on 15 meters, Julio NP3CW then moved to 20 meters. I stayed with 20 meters as signals into PA moved from the Midwest (Three Outlaws) to the West Coast around 0100Z picking up Ed in AZ and strong exchanges into WA/OR. I tried 80 meters at 0130Z and found Jerry K9PMV in Blue Island, IL who persevered for the exchange, and then Randy KB4QQJ on 40 meters in NC, who I hadn’t worked for some time, to finish up a fun evening. Thanks everyone!

Good signals on 20 and 40m tonight. Looked for K8EE, but no luck. Nice to work my buddy George N2JNZ again. Used my Czech Army key. See you all in the next Sprint!

NØUMP Operated by: Bill

Great fun as usual. I have to appologize to a couple of stations that I just could not pull out of the QRN. We had a lot of that here in MO with some storms floating around the area. We need the rain here but it seems to go around us. Worked some of my fellow outlaws: K0SKC Mark, WA0BGV Slim, W0SZV Eldon, NW0M Mitch, N9YDZ Mark and N0UYN Dennis. Good to work KK0I Jack and K8JD John. I wish I had the time to list all. See you on the next sprint...Bill MO Outlaw.

My first Sprint in a couple of months - great to be back in the mix again! 20 and 40 were the only bands open for me. Thanks to all for the fine contacts! Vy 73, Lee K1LEE

Worked 20 and 40 tonight. H&P only. 40 was noisy but there were lots of signals.
It is good to hear so many new members on the air.
I used the Orion, dipole and Speed-X key.
Fun, as usual!

K8TEZ Operated by: Larry

The QRN was bad tonight but the overall conditions on 40 were pretty good. We were able to work Bob N7IGI #6349C in Utah for our DX tonight. Also nice to work Jim ND9M in Panama City,FL. Nice sunny day up here on the lake today with temp of 85 & humidity about the same. Gene K8EE had a pretty good pile up going tonight & a great signal up here. Didn't hear Slim tonight but nice to work Mark-K0SKC- and a few other MO outlaws. See everyone next month...73's Larry K8TEZ

This was fun. Started out on 20 M. Worked Ed k1EDG in ME.After our QSO I asked him to QSY to 40 M as I need ME for 40 M WAS. Picked 7.122khz but it had noise so I asked him to go to 7.110 where we made contact. Now I have WAS on 40M. Later I QSYed to 80 meters to see if my antenna improvements worked on that band. Worked many including Ed K1EDG! So I have K1EDG on 3 bands all with his 5 watt QRP! Thanks ED! Antenna on 80 is an inverted vee fed with ladder line through a transmatch. Moved the feedline further away from the tower yesterday and the loading changed a lot. Despite QRN, it seemed to work really well. Thanks guys for a fun evening. See you in the next event.

Fun sprint and conditions seemed pretty good. Only had an hour, but made the most of it by finishing with Julio/NP3CW and Pablo/KP4SJ..Felt a bit clumsy breaking in a new Yaesu FTdx-3000...RX is fantastic btw. Also good to have a QSO with Doug/N3PDT...it has been a while. 73, Don KF7DS

20, 40 & 80 meters were all in good shape here in North Central PA. Some QRN on 80 m. but not too bad. Some nice signals out there. Rig: Kenwood TS-430S at 50w. into a G5RV up 20 ft.

This was my first SKS Weekday Sprint and I enjoyed the heck out of it. I was QRPp and I was amazed at the strong signals there were that I could work all over the 20 meter band from around 14.049 to 14.066 MHz when the Sprint was on. I wanna' do it again! Thanks to all who listened carefully and especially to those who had to strain but hung in there. My hat's off to you. Thanks!

K8NS Operated by: Mike

Worked 3 bands, 15, 20, 40m. Had good signals hr from west coast and europe on 20m. Last qso of the night was OH5FNI on 20m. It was great to work my skcc Elmer K8WSN Bill who also has been my ham radio buddy sence grade school. Another fun sprint, 73 and tnx qso to all.

For awhile all I heard was up along the East coast on 20 meters, Then some Midwest stations started coming in. Whew! I was starting to think my antenna had blinders on!
Always a Fun event...Thanks to all who participated.

A fun 2 hours as usual--- Had a thunderstorm about 50 miles away so QRN was rough on 40 ---- I always want to chat with the folks I work, but resist the temptation. Two hours goes by fast! 5 watts into 6BTV gnd mtd vertical. Good long signals on 20..worked California and 2 Puerto Rico stations. 40 meters got me into the Midwest, and the bonus station K8EE. Ended up with a nice relaxing qso count of 15.

AK4LP Operated by: Bob

A little noisy on 40 meters but I made most of my QSOs there. Some on 20 meters as well. Plenty of activity, seems like there were plenty of participants. The SKCC is a great club!

Two surprises. I worked K8EE at 00:02 and worked KB1UMH as my last. Its fun competing with 5 watts and a vert. I will be back next month. Charlie. KB1UOH

Enjoyed the sprint as always. 20M and 40M were pretty active, but not many far-away stations heard/worked, no DX. Furthest away worked was Ed W7GVE, thanks Ed for reading my weak sigs. Caught N8EE on 40M, thanks Gene. Used my Nye Viking Speed-X key. Thanks to all, 72/73 Rick

Very nice SKS, I heard a lot of participants.
I worked 4 new members, thanks for the call.
I just worked one Outlaw MO(K2HT) thanks Amigo Dick.
The stronger signal was ND9M. Amigo Jim, I had to take off
the headphones. Hi...Hi...
Thanks to all and good luck next SKS. 73, Pablo.

Bands seemed to be fairly open in my area ... especially 20 meters. Last twenty minutes I shifted down to 40 meters and found it open as well. Just happened to catch Gene, K8EE and finally John, K3RHJ with just minutes to the end. Tnx to all who played. 73, Bill

KE5YUM Operated by: Terry

Great signals on 20 meters. I was at the key for about an hour, and enjoyed hearing numerous signals. Some were 599+. I appreciate all who worked me.

I totally forgot about the sprint! I has been down on the bench giving my K2 a complete alignment and had just come upstairs to check it out and maybe make a QSO or two when I heard W7GVE Ed calling CQ SKS. I looked at the calendar and knew I had forgotten. It was already about 0100 and there was a large thunderstorm heading towards me and I was not set up to do the sprint so I just hand logged my QSO's - a few on 20 and the rest on 40. The conditions were excellent albeit a bit noisy with a lot of really strong signals.
Rig: Elecraft K2-10 at 5 watts and a Nye Master key.
I suppose I need to mark the sprints on my calendar from now on. 72 de WV

Limited time on the air this month - conflict between SKS and important (to me) baseball game on TV. Was able to do both, thanks to the commercial breaks. Yes, K9PMV Jerry, your 80 M antenna does work great - very loud here in W Michigan. 73. Bill

K8BAT Operated by: John

Wow, what a sprint! My new call sign is one digit less which helped. The bands were in pretty good shape, and no other contests were around to clog the bands. I love being able to use 20 meters now, and next month I will add a GAP Titan DX Vertical to my long wire, to see if my ears improve. Can't wait! - And now I have my "T". See ya next month! - John

WA1VIL Operated by: Greg

Always fun to sprint! It never ceases to amaze me how many good ops there are willing to dig out my QRP signal...especially K7IFG Ken in Oregon this time! All contacts on 20 and 40, didn't hear anything on 15 and couldn't get the stations I heard on 80. But I'd rather have summer than 80 meter propagation! Really crowded in the 7050 range but a lot of free space around 7014-thanks for being there to W8WSN and W4KRN! Gotta keep that part of the band warm too. 73 all!

KA5TJS Operated by: Allen

Had a great time out in the garage with the sprint. Getting a little warm but it was worth it as all ways. Used the Icom 746 Pro at 50 watts with an 80 meter dipole at 30 feet and my Flame Proof key. Hope to see you all next month.
