N8XE Operated by: Jason Hissong
Had fun running stations for the first 90 minutes. Went looking for K9SKC but could not find him. Maybe next time. Still my favorite event!! Looking forward to next month already.

AB8FJ Operated by: Ted
Very good conditions on 40 meters. Used my Ten-Tec Argonaut V at 20W to the end-fed random wire up 15 feet. Key used was my Bencher RJ-2. Logged the Sprint with Xlog 1.7 on Ubuntu Linux.

W1RO Operated by: Jim
First SKS event for me. Thought I'd start getting in shape for Field Day in June. I'll look forward to more of these events. Thanks for having them.

KE4KY Operated by: Glenn Petri
My first Wednesday night Sprint...FUN!!!

NT9K Operated by: Bill
Not to much of an effort this time. SSB QRM was lousy. I stayed on 40 meters using my Kenwood TS-870 into an inverted vee up 40 feet at the apex. I used 5 different keys this time.

W0JFR Operated by: John Reilly
Busy night! Started on 20m. Band was open, but very few stations. 40m was HOT. Propagation seemed good to most of US and band was unusually quiet. Thanks for a fun time!

K6JF Operated by: Jim Fraser
Rough conditions for my first Sprint!

KB4T Operated by: Frank
Why does the Power Line Noise always go away AFTER the event????

KD5RSS Operated by: Fred (Butch)
Great sprint, I have never heard it so busy, a real challenge. I didn't rack up big score but added to my Tribune goal, I only lack 4 more for the big "T". 73's all... Butch - KD5RSS

KH6OZ Operated by: George
Only got to operate the last 10 minutes.

KG4W Operated by: Ed
Waited toooo long to move to 80mtrs this time. Made qsos on 20,40,80 & 1 on 160. Fun as always.

K8QI Operated by: Barry
Just worked 80 meters band seemed to be in good shape - so I stayed put. Great time

N9FC Operated by: JOHN

N2BE Operated by: John
For this sprint, I worked 40 and 80 meters (25 watts on both). This is the first time I have gotten off of 40 meters to work another band, during the "SKS". It paid off. Conditions were fairly good for this sprint, on both bands. Participation was excellent.

K2NPN Operated by: Phil
Another good time on-the-air. It always is a very enjoyable evening. I look forward to the next Sprint.

Got .started 17 minutes late due to visit from son.
Most QSOs on 80, a few on 40, one on 160M tonight.
Heard some new calls. Great time !

K1NV Operated by: Jon
The 20 meter band came through for this Sprint and 40 meters was crowded with SKS'ers which is good thing. I didn't make it down to 80 meters this time. AB1BW was the only New England station heard out here in Nevada. Maybe they are still in hibernation up there. Many thanks to Gene for putting K9SKC on from VA. It was good to hear Brian, KE7LOY, up in Idaho again. I'm getting close to making application for the Tribune award. Maybe next month?

k0luw Operated by: Russ Halbert
Great sprint with the band conditions good. Little noise and strong signals. I suppose the SPI of 89 had something to do with it.

K8KFJ Operated by: Gary
I started out on 40m but couldn't seem to get much going. Eventually moved to 80m just in time to hear all the NTS Nets but condx sounded good. Ed KG4W owes me an S-meter with his rock crushing signal (of couse, he's just next door). I thought generally that participation was down but it may just be my meager antenna system. My thanks to all who give me a Q.

I was running a Heath HW-16 into a dipole @30'

Picked up a few states I need for my WAS.... I've spent 32 years as a ham and not chased cards until recently... HIHI

Hope to contact more next month.

My first time in the SKS. Shortly before the SKS Sprint, I discovered SKCC. I received my SKCC number on March 21,and I was pleased to discover that the SK Sprint was only a few days away.

Twenty meters was almost nil, but 40 and 80 were in good shape. Spent the first 15 minutes on 20 and the last 45 minutes on 80. Some QSB at times, but most of the signals were readable the first time. I was very surprised to have K9SKC answer one of my CQs on 80 near the end of the Sprint. Thank you, Gene.

Station: Elecraft K3 at 100 watts, TH6 at 270 degs. on 20, 402CD at 270 degs. on 40, and inverted V on 80.

In May of 2008, I will have been a licensed amateur radio operator for 50 years. Discovering the SKCC was great. I have not used a straight key for a QSO in years. I recently dug out and cleaned up the brass straight key that I bought from Radio Shack in 1958 (when the only Radio Shack that I knew of was in Boston back then). This brings back great memories of my Novice and early General days in 1958. Thanks for all of the SKCC QSOs -- a great group and club!

Wow! Busy band this time. Only got to work one hour but it was productive for 3 watts. Conditions seemed good here. Lots of new numbers. I tried to work as many new SKCC numbers as I could. Well on their way to Centurion from the sounds of it. Got my New IC-703 on the air and stumbled through the menu's to do ok I think. Strongest signal was W5ZR, Bert. He scared my poor little 703 to death with a 30 over signal. 73 All and thanks for another fun sprint. Randy KB4QQJ

K6FFY Operated by: Nick
It sounded like we had a good turnout.

W5ZR Operated by: Bert
A half an hour before the end of the Sprint the bands just died, no more signals. The propagation report said "Minor Blackout"; but it seemed to be a major blackout here! The Sprint was great fun, as usual.

WB8ENE Operated by: Art
All contacts made on 80 and 40 except for one on 160 with K8JD. Enjoyed the sprint.

KA2KGP Operated by: Tom
Another nice sprint. Bands were average. Rig: IC-7000 at 5 watts into a 5B. gnd. mtd. vertical w/ straight key, ...of course!

K2RFP Operated by: Dick
I was hoping to make it to the first dance but I screwed up the time slot for the sprint. When I thought I had about 15 minutes left to make that last QSO, Drew tells me the sprint had already ended!

Duh!

It was a treat to operate the club call K9SKC. Wish I could have been able to work more stations, but my indoor dipole imposes some constraints. Nice to work W6UT and N9FC on two bands. Amazed that all but three QSOs were with C/T Members.

WA1AR Operated by: Alan
This time I band hopped an S&Ped. This did not quite work out as well as the last time.
Only two QSOs on 160, 20 for almost an hour air time. Looking forward to next time.
Alan

W3RT Operated by: Red
I only made 5 Quality QSO's for this Sprint, but I almost turned it into a "Ragchew" Sprint! Had a great time on the Key tonight, with making 5 new Friends.
Signals were great for a nice change.
Thanks to all that worked me.

K5GQ Operated by: Mark
One knows the band is in bad shape when W1AW on 40M is in the noise; readable no fading! Many signals would fade in and out. Had to ask for repeats. Most would repeat twice just needed it once to get it unless signal faded into the noise.

Thanks to Dennis, W6UT, Tribunes and other Centurions that worked me.

It has been may years since I used a bug and will improve with time.

AC2C Operated by: Ron
I finally found a chance during the last 5 minutes to make a contact.

AA2XB Operated by: Frank
Really enjoyed this sprint as I used my new Vibroplex 100th anniversary bug for the first time. Just got it the other day, what a beauty, and probably should have practiced with it before going on the air but just couldn,t wait.In our short qso, KB4T didn't comment on my sending so I guess it was ok. Hi Hi.,

N9QU Operated by: Leo
I listened on 20,40, 80 and 160 from 0105 until 0157.
The only signals I heard that might have been strong enough for a QSO were the three stations calling on top of one another for approximately 8 minutes on 40 meters. Needless to say breaking that logjam was impossible. Hope for more better next month.

40m sounded good at first but local QRN killed it... Seems like there were a bunch of unfamiliar calls again this time... great! Had video camera on but messed up settings so audio was hopelessly out of sync... grrrr! My station: Elecraft K2 @ 15 watts; 100' endfed wire up 30'; Junker straight key.
