AC2C Operated by: Ron, 2748T from MD

Good Mystery Sprint. I worked 9 stations during the 0000Z slot, and 9 during the 0800Z slot, but only 5 during the 1600Z slot. Nopt exactly the results I had expected.

NT9K Operated by: Bill, 1926T from FL

I'M BACK!
I worked all 3 slots. The middle slot was the toughest, but I still made enough contacts to make it worth getting up for. It was down right painful not being able to use the sked page. I worked a few new guys and got some new C's and T's. Got to work Randy with K4INC on several bands. Only one DX contact, VE3CWU. Thought sure, there would be more DX on. I have had more QSO's in the past 12 hours, than I have in the past 2 months. My fist shows it too! Still, it is so nice to be back on the air again, with all my friends!!!

I started feeling good again yesterday. I can walk again now too!
Until next time, 73 - Bill NT9K 1926T

GØRDO Operated by: John, 2133T from England

The first stint I did not enter as it was 1am-2am local. Second stint I had a nice QSO with Erkki/OH7QR for a skcc contact. 3rd stint I had a long QSO with non-member Patrick /F8BNU, and then EA1UJ/Fran/skcc #1286 popped up - great !
Then had a QSO with SV1IYS in Athens. I thought conditions were awful, but enjoyed myself.

Poor condx, couldn't catch any stations in USA. Time schedule suits me good. At 0000 UTC (0300 local time) I am sound asleep but 08-09 and 16-17 UTC are good.
Many thanks for the sprint, it was a bit tricky to find out the date, hi.

My first mystery sprint. It was a lot of fun getting up at 3 AM to play fer 1 hour (NOT). My sending must have been awful. Overall it was a fun 3 hours. Thanks to everybody fer putting up with me. SKCC's record is amazing. Another fantastic time. I sound like a broken record but, SKCC is the best group of ops around. Proud to be a member.

K9ZMD/6 Operated by: Gary, 891T from CA

The first "CQ 3T" of period one had me pretty tensed up. Did I have the date right? If wrong, would I be the Lone Ranger or would I go down in SKCC history for spontaneously igniting an unofficial 3T period? Shows ta go ya, we have nothing to fear but low sun spots and fear itself.

It seemed there weren't so many participants as usual(and that's a mystery), but fun all the same. Mixing S&P with periods of CQing seemed to keep the contacts flowing on 20 & 40 meters. I suspect that steady CQing would have fished the pond dry during the first half of each operating period.

Although I had fun with the split periods of operation this time, a steady diet of that would seem too much like work to this retired OF. Looking forward to cracking the next mystery sprint. 73

K4INC Operated by: Randy, 3702 from NC

Well that was fun. I was surprised to see more activity at 0800z than 1600z! The most active time slot here was 0000z. I used my club call because it has no "C" or "T" which gave an added bonus to anybody that worked it. I messed up several times and sent KB4QQJ. In that case I just gave a 2'fer hi hi I couldn't find any non C or T stations so I get "zip" for bonus heh heh....Strongest signal was Ron, AC2C at 40 over. Band condx were less than stellar. Thanks to VE3CWU for three bands and really great to hear Bill, NT9K back in the saddle again!! You were smokin Bill! And for another fun Mystery Sprint, Thank You Dick, K2RFP.

NØUYN Operated by: Dennis, 5753 from MO

Worked a few contacts in all three periods. Called CQ for the first time in an SKCC event. The last period seemed the roughest at this location. Just a few signals on 20M and very faint signals on 15M. Interesting to work through the band conditions at various times of the day. Thanks to new contacts Dick K2RFP, Kenny AB8XG, Jim NV9X, and Jeff W8JRA and to repeat contacts Ron AC2C, Rick K0KEX, and Bob VE3CWU. Good event. 73

NE7D Operated by: Rock, 665T from OR

I thought I was going to be able to finally participate in my first Mystery Sprint . . . and then someone took out a power pole and we were without power for the first hour and on into the night. The power came back on at 0815Z and I worked AC2C on 80M less than 10 minutes later. Only heard (and worked) 3 stations on the night shift -- 2 on 80M and K9ZMD/6 on 40M. The final hour was fun with more stations participating (20M). Didn't hear anything on any other band. With 3 minutes to go, a local friend called me and apologized for not having an SKCC number to give me -- and couldn't quite understand that he was worth more without it (a new mult + 10X bonus points)! Anyway, glad I finally got in on one of these . . . or at least part of it. Tnx for the Q's, especially with a few guys I'd not met before -- and for the chance to work Bill, NT9K on "his" key!

KA5VZG Operated by: Alan, 6264T from TN

I really enjoy the puzzle aspect of these sprints. I expect that one of these days I'll get it all wrong and be all alone at the wrong place at the wrong time.

This one was kind of quiet at the start. I hope everyone wasn't waiting for me to begin to see if they figured the date out right :-)

WØMSM Operated by: Mark, 6585C from MO

the first hour was very difficult with t-storms right on top of me,so tremendous
QRN...slept nicely thru 0800...worked 20m in the 1600 period, lot of qsb on signals
but made some gud contacts anyway....snuck in the last qso with Jim NV9X at1658 on
40m ,tnx Jim for the hurried qso! as far as operating hours, just give me 2 hrs in the evening and i`m good!! hihi Look forward to the next time and am proud to send out the "C" now....73 Mark W0MSM

This was my first sprint. Lots of fun. Looking forward to seeing a pin on the sprint map for Idaho.

Hoping to have the boat anchor ready for the WES.

Hi all fm Tierra del Fuego
I was QRV for a while at 16Z, QRP/m on 20-15-10m with a small vertical, prop conditions are vy bad and WX didn't help, wind of 40 Knots, snow and -15C.
Nothing heard so far... wish I'll try agn next weekend WES.

W4TMW Operated by: Tom, 6184 from GA

Well, at first I thought I had the wrong date as I called "CQ 3T" many times with no return on 20, so went to 40 and changed to a "CQ SKCC". Then later I did hr someone calling 3T so I felt a little better. Condx on 20 were pretty bad from here in GA and 40 was really pretty crowded.

I only managed the 1st time segment; the others didn't seem to work to well for me but it was fun anyway.

I hope this correction comes through....I only had 5 Q's....not 19.

VE3CWU Operated by: Bob, 5133T from ON

Another fun sprint. Started the first hour on 40m with 2 S&P contacts then went to running only. Ended up with 11 contacts on that effort. Got up from a nice sound sleep and worked the second segment. First station I heard on 40m was Jim NV9X. We already worked on 40m so I asked him to QSY 80m. That worked out well. The rest of that hour was pretty unproductive and I only ended up with 4 contacts that hour. For the third segment my strategy was to run 20m, and I worked 8 stations that hour. Good to hear Bill NT9K. Also tnx to KA5VZG Alan and N4INC Randy for 3 bands each and to NV9X Jim and K0KEX Rick for 2 bands each. Tnx again to the SKCC Admins and ops for a great fun time. Hope to hear you all next weekend in the WES. 73, Bob VE3CWU

AB8XG Operated by: Kenny, 6706 from OH

This was my first SKCC event, and first attempt at a cw contest, so I was pretty nervous at the start not really knowing what to expect, I could not have picked a better event for a first time all the ops were first class! Had a great time, was able to work all the stations that I heard even though that was not that many Hi Hi.
The times for this sprint worked out great for me as I work midnight shift and pretty much 7 days a week, 2 hour sprints end after time for me to leave for work and 1 hour is just right. Being split into 3 times allowed me to work the 0000utc slot and then the 1600utc slot. Hope there are more contests with this format in the future makes it really.
Having fun with CW, it has been a long learning curve for me but finally making a little progress and loving the mode. I really enjoy the SKCC club and hope to meet many more of you on the air. And thanks to all who copied my shakey newbee fist. 73 de Kenny/AB8XG

KB4QQJ Operated by: Randy, 3508T from NC

Hey, That was twice as much fun for me!! I operated as K4INC mostly, but messed up a couple of (read as bunch of) times and sent KB4QQJ. On those times or with some of the regulars I just made it a 2'fer.
I worked all three slots and was pleasantly surprised at how active the 0800 slot was. Thanks to Bob, VE3CWU I did make one DX contact. I think the 1600 slot was the slowest and worst conditions. Great fun and Thanks again Dick. I'll see you all in the WES Boat Anchor event. I'm not dragging out the old Drakes this time. I'll just use my old Ten-Tec analog Argosy. 73 and let's have some fun.

K2RFP Operated by: Dick, 2099T from NY

I was surprised and delighted to hear Bill (NT9K) answer my CQ. That made my day.

The most productive slot for me was the first hour. My biological clock woke me up in the
middle of the second hour so only made a few QSOs then. The last hour was pretty much
dead.

Until next time, 73.

KØKEX Operated by: Rick, 5220T from MO

Interesting sprint, I was able to work all three 1 HR sessions, something I had not planned to do....propagation was good here in the midwest. Thanks to all
for the contacts...Urb, thanks for the new number...hope to see you on the "WES" coming up...Rick
