QRP Award Rules

These awards are to honor the QRP operators of the S.K.C.C. We all know how easy it is to work those QRO, but what about some recognition for those of us who operate with 5 watts and under?

This award will be based on a points system to allow the QRPer a chance to shine.

Both stations must be using a straight key, sideswiper or bug for each station to qualify.
The same station can be worked on all bands but only once per band for each award.

The purpose of the 2xQRP award is for both stations to operate QRP and exchange:
SKCC #
Power
Name

For the 1XQRP the operating station applying for the award must operate QRP and only requires an S.K.C.C. # and name from the other station.

All information with all exchange information can be emailed to Fred VE3FAL at:
flesnick@tbaytel.net

Points will be distributed by band to encourage use of the lower bands. Any band can be used to collect points for this award. The points are as follows:

4 points for 160m

3 points for 80m, 10m

2 points for 40m, 30m

1 point for 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m

.5 point for 6m and 2m

150 points are required for the 2XQRP award

300 points are required for the 1XQRP award
