Cleaning contacts Junker key

Postby VK4AJG » Tue Jul 26, 2011 12:46 am

Far away beeing an expert for German Junker keys I like to share some experience.

I found the Junkers key different from other straight keys in the way that there is sometimes a layer of some kind of oxide on the contacts.
When you try to clean it with a a sheet of paper it will not remove this layer.

A friend told me to use lighter fluid (Zippo) and I it works for me. :D

I have written an email to the company:

but I got no answer.

How do you clean your contacts?
