I DID IT !

Post by KB0SNE » Mon Jan 03, 2011 4:16 am

I made my very first contact on CW tonight. WOW! I'm hooked ! Thanks to Rob --AE7AP-- for sticking with me on this contact and thanks to SKCC for the information and encouragement that really got me started. Now I know what I've been missing and I think, especially as I get better at CW, Ham Radio is going to be more fun than it's ever been. Thanks again everyone. This is GREAT !

Hi Mike, congratulations on your first cw contact! That's a pretty big deal! Maybe it's me, but I think the people you meet using CW are just nicer. I hope to get to work you sometime, maybe on 7114. That's the Elmer frequency where lots of us listen. Lot's of us like to go slow too!
Good Luck Mike, 73. Bill NT9K..

Congratulations Mike. Everyone remembers their first CW contact... well, maybe except those who have not yet had the pleasure. It's a special event for both the new comer and station you are working. I know it's always a thrill for me. Doesn't happen that often, but it's always memorable.

Enjoy & 73
