Where can I get a good straight key ?

You could get hundreds of replies, all different, to an open-ended question like this.
For me, I have an old J-38 from the mid-60s that still works well. Many of these keys are available at Hamfests or via eBay.
I also like the Navy Flameproof key and have been very happy with the Czech Army key currently available via the web.

The list is on the right hand side of that page and should provide you with many hours of study.
I started out on a very expensive Hi-mound telegraph key
. But I eventually settled on a $20 manual touch key
much to my surprise. This is what my hand prefers. Every fist is different and I hope you will eventually find one that fits you perfectly.
