Hiya Bill

Am I seeing things, or is the 'plant' in your photo sporting IC's on its leaves?

Hi Mark, yes it is. Someone made that for me when I was in the hospital. It's a hard drive with IC chips for petals and lots of capacitors and resistors for the center part. The leaves are cut from an old green printed circuit board with all the parts left in place. I've had it for many years and it sort of fits in, sitting next to my radios.

Need a whole new station

Postby W2BLC » Mon Nov 09, 2009 1:48 am

I'd opt for a whole new ICOM 7600 station - but, what I have works fine.

TS-480 and a single 3-500. Dipoles, off-center fed, a single vertical. Got a great straight key and a Gold-Line mic. Life is good!
