Apart from our SKED website why not to establish SKCC conference on Echolink.
It is free and it could be nice to hear our voices and chat.

I can see little activity of SKCC members. May be it could be good to write to all emails reminding of SKCC and encouraging them to dust their keys off

I'd like to resurrect this idea of an SKCC Echolink Conference. Might be nice to hear the voices of other members, especially hard-to-reach ones; chat about SKCC activity; arrange on-the-air skeds; swap ideas on improving code proficiency/speed, especially for new and QRS members; maybe even host an SKCC net. Might be a good way to promote the group, too, especially with new tech license holders.

I'd sure enjoy a rag chew with SKCC members once in a while when I'm commuting to and from work; the local Echolink-connected repeater is underused. Also, I've learned a ton from beyond-the-qso communications (email, notes on the back of QSL cards, K3UK PMs, even the occasional letter) that have helped me become a better, more efficient operator.

Occurs to me we do a lot of this stuff on K3UK, email, this forum, etc already, but Echolink is clearly here to stay, so why not use it?

The fact that it's taken 2 years for anyone to reply to the original post in this thread does not fill me with great optimism, but I thought I'd put it out there anyway!
