Thank you all for working on the formulas. Please continue to try and find a way to level the QRP playing field. To keep things rolling, I felt I had to do something. So, for now I'd like to have 2 catagories. We can give it a try and continue working on a better way. I posted more on yahoo. Bill, ...

By using the dB gain in power as the determining factor for scoring, I made the following formulas in Excel: 100 watts is the figured as the normal power used, power levels under 100 watts will increase in points and power levels over 100 watts will decrease in points. _________________ That's inte...

I'd like to propose a rule change based on members comments via email to me in their sprint entries. I want to add a final score multiplier for those who choose to operate QRP. What should the multiplier be? 2x 3x or more? If we could decide on a value, and give it a try. If it doesn't make it comp...

Of course, that means you might have to order 12,000 cards. Hey Drew, You lost me there. I'd think we'd order as many cards as each of the special event stations needed. Each district would have a different number of cards based on their actual QSO totals. Or am I missing something. And Yes, I thin...

Re: Dart tourney

Howdy all; We could use double and triple points by using member numbers as doubles/triple of the basic numbers. IE: a number ending with 57 would count as triple 19, and number 40 would be double 20 etc. The skcc club call could count as a double bullseye, maybe? Hve different members use the call...

There is 1 through 20, then double and triple (=60 so far). Then there's the bull and double bull. 62 unique values? But I was ignoring the doubles and triples. To double out, you'd have to get the same score twice. If they are ignored, then there are 21 (1-20 + bullseye) on the board. Are we think...

Well, there are 50 unique score values on a dartboard, excluding the two bulls. That could map evenly with the 100 possibilities for the last two digits of the SKCC number. Whoops! Not 52 score values on a dartboard, but 43. So scratch that suggestion. And change "MOD(SKCC#,52)" to MOD(SK...

The thing about the score of 20 is that that is how a dart board is set up. Of course, the dart board has regions where the score is doubled or tripled. Also there is a single bull (25 points) and double bull (50 points). But we could simplify it to 1-20 and double bull for the purposes of this tou...

1. I LOVE the puzzle QSL card idea. Have the designs on the cards come together to form a single picture. "Collect all 12". I can see it now. Could we do it with 10 cards so KL7 & KH6 are truly optional? - Keith N1AS - - SKCC 344 - That _is_ a great idea! If you only used 10 cards tho...

I can burn CDs or DVDs. A perfect solution. I also have an FTP server for the inevitable stragglers. Thanks for the help. This is a huge burden you've taken from me. It might be good to tell those who are applying for certificates to indicate how they want their name to appear: some may want nickna...

But, a little bit of color can really enhance a document. Having the endorsements and scrollwork in color, and perhaps the SKCC logo in a lighter shade of its original colors (i.e. gray/lt blue) could really dress it up, without being overpowering. Yeah! Anyhow, you can't have an official certifica...

Sweep cert endorsements

Kev, can I make a suggestion for the certificate endorsements? I understand you are considering stickers for the KL7 and KH6 endorsements but I wonder if ink-stamps might be better (after the suggestion someone had for stamping the QSL cards). For one thing, an ink stamp is more permanent than an ad...
