The SKCC Centurion

The SKCC Cenurion has been inactive since April 2009. My work schedule became intense and has not abated since. I do not currently have enough time to put out The SKCC Centurion. I've only made 6 contacts since April 2009 and those were all from my vehicle at work on a break. If someone is willing, ...

Special Event Callsigns

The club cannot reserve all the callsigns. We will need individual members to reserve the callsigns under their own calls. There is a rule against having more than a single special event call reserved for the same time. We will however need to get special permission, blessed, to use the special even...

New Idea For Weekend Sprint

Let's have a team weekend sprint. Everyone operates and turns in individual scores, but the scores are accumulated by the last digit in your membership number, Odd vs. Even. Let's see which team comes out on top.

I had a good time with the Weekend Sprint. Conditions were a little difficult, but I managed 19 QSOs in 14 states and 6 Centurions for 326 points. When I posted my results using the form, I left out 2 QSOs I thought were non sprint QSOs. Upon reviewing my log, those two count. I will submit another ...

The exchange: The canned message is a keeper. The operator instructions were to send it every 15 minutes not necesasrily every contact. That is how I did it and it worked fine. Send RST, SPC, SKCC #, OP CALL, OP NAME, OP SKCC #. Then see what the other station sends. If I got a SKCC #, I simply sent...

Kewl! I like it.

Does this mean Centurions will now have to send SKCC # 2240 C # 56? Working 50 Centurions vs logging 50 Centurions require different exchanges. Simply working 50 Centurions requires an exchange of SKCC # 2240C, to log 50 Centurions requires logging the Centurion number as well.
