W1LIC Operated by: Wes, 1142T from ME

Operated this srpring running 5 watts. It is fun but with my limited antennas, I'm glad I
don't do it all the time. 95 more watts can make a big difference.

KØLWV Operated by: Larry, 3571 from MO

Very heavy storms here, thunderstorms, lightning, static, very difficult operating condx.

EA3NO Operated by: Lluis, 6653C from Spain

Today there are no conditions at 20 mts, I can not hear hardly anything, I called but I
could not listen to anyone, thank you all for trying. 73 de Lluis EA3NO

KA5TJS Operated by: Allen, 5172C from TX

Great WES. Thanks to the 5 I got on 40 mtrs with my SW40 at 2 watts. All the rest were on
20 mtrs with the ICOM 746 Pro at 4 watts. The same G5RV ant for both. Look for you'all
next month.

73's Allen KA5TJS

N1LU Operated by: Don, 2252T from NH

Poor conditions here this weekend. Weak signals and lots of wx related QRN.

KØMC Operated by: Mike, 5241T from CO

I went outside to see if someone stole my ant. Nope it was still there. The bands didn't
favor east-central CO. A lot of cq's not many answers. But I had fun and the invisable
DE. didn't make an appearance. Next time will be better. Hope all had a gud time. 73 Mike

K4UPG Operated by: Kelly, 5415 from FL

Enjoy the good ops and friendly atmosphere of the WES events. Wish I could be active in
more of them, but often have conflicts with ministry. Only worked 2 hours today as a storm
rolled in and I was portable by the lake with tall trees and wires in the sky! Not a good
combo for safety. After the storm, I got a bit of time despite strong QRN and enjoyed
testing my W3EDP and Wilderness Sierra running 2.4 watts on 20m. Thanks to all for QSO's.
72,
Kelly K4UPG #5415

AB1BW Operated by: George, 2468T from CT

After working the whole sprint using 5 watts I realized that I love POWER. I sure have a
lot of respect for those of you who only work QRP. Even though it was a tuff one it was
still a great day and a lot of fun. See you next month with 100 watts. 73, George

W4FOA Operated by: Tony, 0641T from GA

Always a fun experience. Bands were very good. Some outstanding QRP signals! Congrats
to all and thanks for the fun. 73 de Tony, W4FOA SKCC 0641T

N9QU Operated by: Leo, 3464T from WI

T-storms shut me down a few times on Sunday afternoon, but had lots of fun when they were
off bothering others. High point of the day: ND in the log...finally! Thanks to all es

WA1AR Operated by: Alan, 4079T from MA

Went all QRP this WES. Used only the OHR100A at 5 W and 1941 Blue Racer. Was limited to
only 40m but conditions were good. Could easily hear KB4QQJ Randy's 250mW. Worked a few
hours each eveing. No problem working Bert F5DE. To my supprise when I built this rig
years ago and called CQ the first time I worked a station in France. These rigs have a
hot receiver and good selectivity with a 4 XTAL filter.

73 Alan

40M OHR100A and 1941 Blue Racer

WAØBGV Operated by: Slim, 5465T from MO

Really bad wx here (multipul thunder storms)plus weak band condx. Would love a qrp event
later in the year. Fun anyhow. 73 de Slim

KB1OIQ Operated by: Andy, 6265 from MA

I had a lot of fun using my "Tuna Can Family" QRP at 2-3 watts. I made 5 QSOs today.
Take a look at http://home.comcast.net/~andystewart/cw_tuna_family.html for photos of my
setup. The 40m band was bad...lots of QSB. Thanks for the QSOs! 73 de Andy KB1OIQ

WØYZZ Operated by: Dave, 5519T from MO

This contest started off slowly with other contest going on at the sametime. It didn't
get going till Sunday afternoon. This made up for Saturday night...As usual I had a
great time can't wait till The next WES 73's David Mollus W0YZZ

AB7KT Operated by: Ken, 4500C from NV

I was really impressed with the really sharp operators out there who pulled my QRP
signal out my first call.

KC4GIA Operated by: Mark, 4666 from VA

Ran my ATS-3B with a 9V batt pack. Down to 8.1 V at the end, but I didn't do much. So
noisy on 40 Saturday night that I could hardly hear my side tone over it. Found out that
the altoids tin needed tape in the lid to keep from killing receive when I closed the lid.
Also confirmed that I really am a lousy contest op! Had fun though and got some more key
time. Thanks to all!

NV9X Operated by: Jim, 1358T from IL

After FISTS Sprint and IARU, I was tired. Started WES at 1311 UTC. Half the contacts were
QRP. Lucky fer bonus points. Thanks SKCC.

K6CSL Operated by: Bert, 4486 from CA

The first WES station I worked in this WES was Adam, N0SSS in TX. I worked him at 10:22Z
while I was still engaged in developing a station record score in IARU Radiosport. His
signal was incredibly weak and it took almost half an hour to finally copy his full info.
I operated IARU until 12:00Z and then slept in until 21:00Z. I finally got back on the
air for WES at 23:00Z. I started on 40 and found no one there so I went to 20 and quickly
logged the last 5 QSO's. That was a fun way to cap off a great ham radio weekend. 73's to
all and I'll see you for the next WES. Bert, K6CSL

N2QFD Operated by: Mal, 4045 from NY

Thanks for another fun Sprint. Band conditions were really in and out and 20m was all that
was working for me here Sunday.

My Cootie Key

K3NCO Operated by: Marc, 6144T from MD

Well, nothing like 2 hours of sleep during IARU at a friend's house to ruin your day for
WES. Didn't get home until 1300Z and then fell asleep after breakfast. Worked a little,
and the napped again.
Well at least did pass out a few Q's on 20 and 40 - amazing what you can do with
QRP in horrible condx.

K5ENA Operated by: John, 3045T from OK

Conditions and propagation not very good, but still enjoyed it.

73,
John, K5ENA

F5DE Operated by: Bernard, 6247T from France

It was nice to be called by five QRP stations,
I have done QSO with KA5VZG/qrp, K0KEX/qrp, KB4QQJ/P/qrp and WA1AR/qrp.
Unfortunately it was not possible to complete a QSO with KA2FIR/qrp, very sorry Mike !
Hope meet you all on SKCC frequencies and also during next WES.
73 QRO everybody.

WD4SCZ Operated by: Emil, 556T from KY

QRP is funny and frustrating. Sometimes calling the loud station you hear is futile, then
you call one you barely hear and get a 599 report. It's always amazing when I hear anyone
answer that HW-7!

N8BB Operated by: Werner, 5433T from MI

Another week end with the grandkids from Arizona, only see them once a years so priorities
were with them. Thanks to the few I worked, used my KX1 at 3 watts so it was a slow time
for the little I operated. Thanks to F5DE for pulling me out and the nice signal from
KB4QQJ /P Randy. Will be back next time. Good night and 73es.
Werner

W9DLN Operated by: Dan, 3635T from WI

Another great WES. Thanks for all the QSOs everyone. The rates weren't all that high
but it was steady. Also the ears got a good workout with all the QRP stations. There
were only 6 or 7 I could not make out. Sorry guys. Multipliers were good Saturday night
and also early Sunday morning. Some good DX added to that in the afternoon. Missed a
lot of stateside mults though. Tried the best I could to hog in Ts and Cs at the end to
beat my bonus score but only managed to tie it. Guess I'll have to put in a few more
hours to get this score up.

Special thanks to K3UK and K2RFP. Good to hear you on the air Andy and thanks for making
the cat and bird dance a couple of times Dick. Couldn't do this without you guys.

73 and hope to see you all next month...

KG4W Operated by: Ed, 2416T from VA

Only able to work the last hour & 40 min in this one. Thanks to all & cul.... Ed

K6HTN Operated by: Kate, 5405 from CA

Considering the other contest going on & the noise level ("weather" up in the San Joaquin Valley), it was a successful
WES for me. It was also the first time I used the sked page. Started trying to use my bug, but I'm just not good enough
with it yet. Switched back to the "swap meet" key. I am happy to find that I am finally getting comfortable using code -
it's not a stressful experience any more. Think I can thank the local traffic nets for that.

"swap meet" J-38

KC8LTL Operated by: Ken, 4197 from MI

After IARU I was a bit contested out, but put in a minimal effort. Still hard to believe
that I called cq at 1W and got replies. Rig was my K2 dialed down to 1W. On 20M I used
an old Cushcraft R4. On 40M I used a low temporary dipole I put up for the QRP ARCI
Contest (and then I spent the time working you guys).

K1NV Operated by: Jon, 2609T from NV

Another contest raised hob with the bands and Saturday night wasn't productive for WES
QSO's, although I worked a few stalwarts inside the old 7.100-7.125 MHz novice band. No
other SKCC activity was heard on 20, 40, or 80 meters later in the evening.

I only had a couple of hours to operate on Sunday, so finished the contest on 20 meters
which sounded much more civilized without the melee from the other major contest. It was
nice to hear Dana, AD5VC, again and Harold, VE5BCS, was booming into Nevada on 20M. I
regretfully missed many stations who were calling me under the QRM around 14.053 MHz.
Several QRP stations were very loud including KA5VZG (5W) and N9ODY among others. The
TS-940S can drop to 5 watts output with no problem, but I never got around to trying it.

My tribander reflector got stuck on the OCF dipole wire several times which detuned
everything until I figured out what was going on. Since it was 105+ deg.F outside, it was
nice to be in the shack where it was only 80 deg,F

WØSZV Operated by: Eldon, 4999T from MO

Only got to work the sprint for about the last hour.Dug out the old argosy II, ran 5
watts for the 5 contacts I got. NV,AZ,IN,GA & OH. pretty good spread . Used my 1200ft
loop at 50ft for all contacts. Looking forward to next month.

KA5VZG Operated by: Alan, 6264T from TN

Lots of fun. Somewhat frustrating with 5 watts and noisy bands, could hear OH7QR, EA3NO,
and F5DE, but no QSOs. Finally F5DE pulled me out. Good ears Bernard! Made my day.

KØLUW Operated by: Russ, 1702T from NE

Bad band conditions made this a tough sprint. Had a lot of family commitments and storms in
the area reduced my operating time to 4 hrs. Still a lot of fun..

W4CUX Operated by: Bill, 5497T from GA

Great Sprint. I was not wild about the QRP theme going in. Noisy band conditions on 80
and 40 mtrs, and lots of other contesters on 20 mtrs. My first contact Saturday night was
QRP, but then everything went into the tank. No responses. So I kicked the power up and
made good contacts despite noisy band conditions on 40 mtrs. Sunday most all of my QSOs
were QRP. I learned quite a bit about operating QRP, and had a great time doing it.
Kinda like fishing... you don't always get a bite on every cast, but if you don't throw
your line out, you sure won't get a bite. Also pays to be patient. Thanks again.
Looking forward to the next event.

Bill

W1PNS Operated by: Pete, 4853T from MA

I made the first two QSOs from LobsterCon, an annual QRP conclave at the Thomas Point
Campground outside Brunswick, Maine. Those contacts were made with my KX-1 at about 3
watts into a Pac 12 vertical. The remaining QSOs (after a long drive back home, and a day
of cleaning camping gear) originated at home with my Yaesu FT-450 running at 5 watts.
Thanks for the patience folks!

N2AUR Operated by: George, 5841C from NJ

The picture was taken after WES. So, ignore the bottle, it is anesthesia for my poor
ears. In the fine tradition of WES, the conditions were challenging - to say the least! I
think my QRP signal was absorbed by the QRN within 5 feet of the antenna - hi, so I made
no QRP contacts. My record of never being able to contact the special station is still
intact.
However, it is the challenge, camraderie, and meeting friends old and new that keep me
coming back. See ya next month.

Thanks to all who heard my puny signal !!! And thanks to Dan , W9DLN who pointed out my
rock was almost 1 kc down from where it should be !!! To Randy KB4QQJ/P ....... sooooo
close , just the RST kept us from a last minute QSO !!!! transmitter here was a Tuna Tin 2
, 200 mw and receiver was my TS 930s. Antenna a ZeroFive 40 meter vertical. Bug here was
the Vizkey 90 Degree with new Extendadot. Very frustrating but still had a ball !!! Thanks
again !!!

200 mw !!!!!

KL7GLL Operated by: Gene, 1098T from VA

Spent only about 4 hours working WES due to family demands. High point was working N2JNZ
(George's) 200 mw Tuna Tin 2 on 40 mtrs Sunday morning. Nice to work a number of new (to
me) members. Never heard or worked any stations west of TX, OK, MO when I was on. Great to
see a lot of activity in WES. However, more than two-thirds of my contacts were with
Tribunes ... we need to get other Members on for WES!!

WØMSM Operated by: Mark, 6585C from MO

A pretty rough time here in mo. sat.nite...lots of qrn (s9 to +20) on 40 m,so apologies to
those who answered my CQ`s but I cud just not get a hold on...even still it`s always fun
to work everyone during the sprints...was surprised to move to 20 and find Erkki OH7QR and
get a qso after 2 calls on my half square ant..no time on sunday had to work on a project
big storms changed the half square into a curly Q!! oh well more antenna fun...tnx all
for a gud time on cw....see ya`all next time Mark W0MSM

W7GVE Operated by: Ed, 729T from AZ

yes Virginia you can fall asleep calling CQ- Even twice

W4KRN Operated by: Karen, 4495T from VA

It was nice working a few members I've never worked before. Was tough pulling out QRP
stations on 40m Friday night due to QRN and QRM from the IARU contest. 20m band seemed good
during the day, but other planned activities kept me from staying in front of the radio. Was
great to work OH7QR Friday night, very good signal Erkki ! Looking forward to the next
Sprint.

KF7ATL Operated by: Garth, 5914 from UT

In spite of the fact that I usually don't have a lot of time to commit to WES I always
enjoy it. I am definitely no contester, though!

I am impressed by the number of people who operated QRP for this sprint. With the band
conditions we have had, they really earned their bonus points! For me it is hard enough
just making contacts without adding QRP into the mix. HI HI.

N4RE Operated by: Rick, 942T from NC

Great to hear so many new participants. Calling CQ with 5 watts is optimistic and
discouraging at the same time. However, there's some pretty good ears out there up to the
challenge.

TKS & 73,
Rick - N4RE

K4UFT Operated by: Ted, 4289C from SC

Apologies to the stations upon which I inflicted pain from my Vibroplex "Presentation"
bug. That's the most I've ever used it in the 40-odd years I've had it. Promise not to
use it again. Extendadot has made it useable, but using a bug is a definite art form.

Ran QRP from FT-950 @5 Watts to home-brew vertical. Stayed on 40 with lots of QRN. As
someone pointed out, got 579 or better from stations I could barely hear. Last hour-and-
a-half had to shut down because of severe electrical storm.

Always love our contests and look forward to them.

NØUYN Operated by: Dennis, 5753 from MO

With noisy conditions and weak propagation at times, there was a temptation to turn up the
power. But I stuck with the program and kept it at 5 watts. It's rewarding to get a 579
report from a thousand miles away with a QRP signal. Thanks for the patience of my
contacts. 73.

WA1VIL Operated by: Greg, 443T from MA

Nice sprint despite the conditions-my ears are still buzzing. I have missed the past few
WES so just getting a chance to get on the air was great and everything else was a bonus.
18 of my 23 QSOs were 5W to a G5RV with the best "DX" to AZ on 20-so thanks to everyone
who pulled me out. Guess I will finally have to build that 40 meter Cub that I got for
Christmas. 73!

KE7YTE Operated by: Tom, 6447 from AZ

QRP IS MORE FUN. BEGIN WITH A PROIII AND FLAG POLE. SWITCHED TO A KX1 AND BUDDIPOLE
VERTICAL WITH COUNTERPOISE. 20 METERS WAS THE ONLY BAND OPEN FOR ME IN AZ.

W4TMW Operated by: Tom, 6184 from GA

I was only able to work the WES on Sunday afternoon but sure had a great time again.
Propagation on 20,40 and 80 were not very good at my QTH, then in the afternoon the WRN
took over and wiped out 80 just about completely. I guess the only saving grace was no
storms to contend with. It was still great fun.

73 to all

VK4TJ Operated by: John, 4474T from Australia

Probably my worst score ever. 40 mtrs did me no favors at all, and of course from VK, I
struggled to work any diehard QRP'ers.

GØRDO Operated by: John, 2133T from England

Did not get on air much and poor conditions, but still fun. I need to get a decent wire
antenna up for 40 & 80m but little space.

Fine Norwegian Marine key by Elektrisk Bureau, Oslo, Norway.

K4JPN Operated by: Steve, 2402T from GA

Condtions were rough here in GA, call and listened on 40M, but nothing heard. 20M was
the only band for Sunday. 73, Steve K4JPN

KE5YUM Operated by: Terry, 5173T from TX

This was my first WES though I participate monthly in the SKS. I was operating portable
from my home in TX. Antenna was a long wire suspended across some trees up about 20
feet. Thanks to W0MSM and N0AZN for their patience and my only two QSOs.

KQ1P Operated by: John, 5068 from ME

Not much time this weekend, only able to operate a short spell. 73.

KD8JHJ Operated by: Mike, 4877C from OH

I had a good time with this WES. Collected some "T" numbers for my list. More than half
way there now. Conditions varied greatly. I got some practice using my rig's filter,
preamp and attenuator especially as the sprint winded down- lots of QRN. I found my auto
tuner matched up my 30 meter(46 foot)end-fed wire ok and I made a couple QSOs on 20
meters this time. Mostly worked 40 meters using the Straight key and bug. Forgot to read
the website and didn't know about the QRP points so used my usual 50-75 watts. Also made
my highest QSO count in any WES so far so maybe better that I was not running QRP. Lots
of new numbers in the 6000 range- thanks for participating guys! And thanks to the usual
suspects for making this event a heap of fun. 73 to all.

KB1PBA Operated by: Peter, 6878 from MA

Special thanks to those of you who took the time to dig me out of the noise level. And
to Bernard for my first over the pond QSO.

KB1PBA main station with PFR-3A (5W) and straight keys

W3NP Operated by: Dave, 3182T from WV

Wow - Absolutely horrible conditions here in WV. The QRN on Saturday eve was one steady
din at well over S9, and 20 sounded fairly good but was pretty much monopolized by the
numbers stations (aka IARU). On Sunday, 40 was just so so and the signals on 20 were way
down.
I had set up my QRP rigs with the intent of rotating between the Argo 515, the Argo 5, and
the Century 21 but ended up mostly using the Argo 5 as it seemed to deal with band condx a
bit better although the C21 was a bit quieter. I worked all my 34 Q's running 5 watts or
less but it was a struggle. I think this was as close to my early novice days as I have
been in 50 years - many CQ's with no answers and many stations called repeatedly with no
response. I tried to get through to Mark W0MSM and Russ K0LUW many times without success.
I always work N6DIT with a good signal during the WES events but I could just barely tell
he was in there on 20 this time. Ed W7GVE - you were the only consistent station copied
(and worked) from out west.
I mostly used my Vibroplex Deluxe Presentation Bug, but found the German WW2 Telefunken
manual key may have cut through a bit better when I was 229 to the other station.
I agree with another soapbox comment - I think we would have "more fun with QRP" in the
winter months. It was a challenge but I still had fun. See you all next time.

OH7QR Operated by: Erkki, 6379 from Finland

Station description: Yaesu FT-897, 100W, Antennas: 2 el. quad on 20M, double zepp on
40/80M. Key: "The Swedish Key" by Lennart Pettersson & Co.
The contest-QRM was enormous and at first I thought that it would be impossible to work.
But on K3UK Sked-Page I noticed that there were stations around 14.110. I put my QRG on
the page and it proved to be a good idea. I worked 12 stations from USA. After one and a
half hour the band became quieter and I heard only EU-Stations. During the day I worked
three hours (periods 2 + 1) and came back after watching the footballmatch at 21:00 UTC
and finished at 23:10 UTC. Total working time was six hours.
Statistic information: 17 new SKCC nrs, total nr of worked members 28, 15 Tribunes, 4
Centurions, 9 "basic" members. 20M - 27 QSOs, 40M - 3 QSOs and 80M also 3 QSOs. States
worked 14, DXCC countries 9, Non-members worked: 17 from 9 DXCC countries.
The WES is a nice event and I enjoyed very much. I would have spent more time on bands
without the contest QRM and the football-match. Sorry, but watcing it was a MUST, HI.
Many thanks to all QSO-Partners and especially to those who gave me new numbers. My
Centurion award is much nearer now. Best 73 and CU in the next WES.

Another WES in the books, got a late start Saturday evening. QRP made it interesting.
Sunday morning severe storms thru the KC metro area curtailed all activities until
late afternoon. 20 M seemed the best but many calls went unanswered. As I was about
to wrap it up I heard F5DE and took a shot. Conditions were just right 439/449 WOW..!!
Thanks to Bernard and to all who answered me.....see you all soon.....73 Rick

within a human's handbreadth, the clipboard hosts an Ipod Touch computer for accessing
the K3UK SKCC sked page, a CW Touch straight key, and last but not least, a pencil holder

W4CU Operated by: Tom, 2733T from FL

Had a great time as usual when I work the WES. I only made 3 contacts running QRP myself
but did work 12 stations who were running QRP including Slim (WA0BGV) and Peter (KB1PBA)
on both 20m and 40m. My only 15m contact was with Dennis (N6DIT)who was QRP. It was
great to see so many new members. My top 5 high numbers were 6899, 6878, 6866, 6810, and
6760. My weekend was split between family duties, the WES, the Feld Hell Sprint and the
IARU HF World Championship (CW only). Needless to say, I didn't do too well in any of
them. Thanks to all for the contacts - vy 73 - Tom

EA1EVA Operated by: Javi, 5871T from Spain

This time only v inverted dipole for 20 meters band and only two last houres.
I cant to work only the special station OH7QR (thanks Erkki) and none USA stations.
This is my poor participation. See in the next Javi

W3RT Operated by: Red, 3237T from PA

My usual low score, but happy to participate. Good to work the ones that I did. Lots of
new-higher numbers shows the Club is really growing well!
Used the TS 940 at 50 Watts to the C3SS for 20 m and the Sloper on 40m. The Flameproof
and the Annie did most of the work.

Hope to be more active soon.

W5ESE Operated by: Scott, 688C from TX

I should have switched to QRO after the first contact! Conditions seemed poor this month.
Rig used was a Ten-Tec Argonaut 509 at 2-3 watts, and the antenna was a 300' horizontal
loop. My key is a J-37. Uploaded my contest log to the ARRL's Logbook of the World.

WS9E Operated by: Joe, 3859 from WI

Other activities and poor conditions severely restricted my time on the air. I am always
surprized when someone can hear my 4 watt signal. Let's do this again in the winter when
the bands are quiet and I don't have to keep disconnecting my antenna due to T-storms.

GØAZR Operated by: Jeremy, 6319 from United Kingdom

My first sprint.!!!!

Short but great fun.

KA1XC Operated by: John, 5188T from MA

I hate QRP LOL...but I turned down the output and made my obligatory 5W QRP contact with
Mike KA2FIR just for fun. Between summertime activities, the IARU HF contest clobbering
the CW bands, and some nice DX rolling through elsewhere I didn't operate the WES much
this month. 73!

KC3QU Operated by: Hank, 4567 from AL

Terrible conditions Sat evening here in southern Alabama (electrical storm). On Sunday,
tried 15 meters every hpour wth zero results. Hank, KC3QU

WB8ENE Operated by: Art, 3773T from OH

I was in Toledo this weekend for my son's wedding, but I brought the straight key along
and managed to make 5 contacts Saturday evening from the mobile setup. Used an FT-897D
running 100 watts into a 40 meter hamstick mounted on the trunk. I tried again between 5
and 6 AM local time Sunday morning, but didn't hear anyone operating the WES. See you in
the next sprint. 73, Art

K8JD Operated by: John, 1395T from MI

80 & 40 M Bands were so noisy with lightning I could not get anything with 5 W.
Made more contacts on 20 M just on sunday than any other sprint./

NØUMP Operated by: Bill, 659T from MO

First time operating as QRP in the sprint. Had lots of storms in the area and poor
conditions. The important thing is that I still had fun and I'm looking forward to the
next one. Thanks to all those who tried hard to hear my small signal. Looks like we had
some great participation this time....73 Bill 659T

WM4X Operated by: Mike, 6035 from VA

I set up in my backyard and enjoyed the great weather using my new Ten Tec R4020 at 4 watts into a fan dipole. Only
operated for about an hour towards the end of the contest but had a blast! Looking forward to the next WES. 73 - Mike

VA3NU Operated by: Larry, 5215 from ON

Didn't work QRP this time but was using the Ten Tec Scout on battery power into a G5RV.

KK5NA Operated by: Joe, 1923T from TX

Only a few..but always fun! Rig = K3 @ 5 watts, Ant EDZ @ 55 ft.

VE5BCS Operated by: Harold, 3946C from SK

The band at the start was bussy one contact. But sunday was better. Had to go to 50 watts
to make contacts very enjoyable. Hope to work the next one.tnx

NE5DL Operated by: Dave, 5081T from TX

Again worked the WES with 5 watts. Went out on the patio Sunday in 90 deg TX WX. Used a
K2, 88 ft EDZ at 28 ft on poles and fed with home brew open wire feeder and a 4:1 balun,
and the SKCC Pro Pump. Lots of QSB so thanks to those who dug me out of the noise. Did
work Erkki on 20M. Tried K1NV in AZ several times but no luck

KB4QQJ Operated by: Randy, 3508T from NC

What a weekend!! This turned into one of the most fun events I've worked so far. I missed
some of my regulars but worked several new members. Erkki, OH7QR did a great job as the
featured operator. And a great receiver he has also. I was bound and determined to work
George, N2JNZ on his Tuna Tin!! And for the lack of a "5" we made it. George and his 200
Mw Tuna Tin and Bruce, WA4ZKM with his freshly built 500/900 Mw "Lectrokit" made it a fun
time. W0YZZ, Dave in MO was the strongest station at 30 over.
My station was the 817 into an N5ESE attenuator to a doublet at 33 feet
Power = 250 Mw to 2.5 watts.
J-37 on a KY-116 leg brace
9 contacts at 250 Mw
25 contacts at 500 Mw (including OH7QR)
6 contacts at 2.5 watts
Thanks to everybody that played and made it possible!! 73, Randy_KB4QQJ

Tuna Tin photo by George, N2JNZ. Lectrokit by Bruce, WA4ZKM. My /P site

For once i was the "big gun". Spent half the day working on the antenna, the other half
watching a spectacular lightning show hi hi. Not many contacts. 73

AE4LD Operated by: Larry, 3090T from NC

Hi folks, pretty poor conditions for me this go around. Look forward to another QRP

AC2C Operated by: Ron, 2748T from MD

I liked the theme and enjoyed the sprint - I just did not have sufficient time to
dedicate to the event.

K8NB Operated by: Noel, 3112T from MI

A kitchen remodel project and other things cut my time for this one down to almost
nothing. Still made a few qrp contacts, and had fun. One of these weekends I will have
nothing else I have to do except radio.

W9HLY Operated by: Vern, 6672 from IN

Attempt at recovering a corrupted log file. All reports set to 559 - unfortunately.
