NE7D Operated by: Rock, 665T from OR

Was able to get away from weekend activities for a couple hours and found lots of action
on 20M. Good to see/hear a lot of new members participating! SKCC ops in OR are not too
active so was glad to hand out the multiplier to those who heard me.
Cheers, Rock NE7D

N9QU Operated by: Leo, 3464T from WI

Lots of fun but not very productive.

KBØETU Operated by: Phil, 4542 from AL

Once again, it was fun! Either everyone is slowing up (thank you!) or I'm picking up
speed. Can't wait to do it again. 73 - Phill

KB3MOW Operated by: Dave, 4121T from PA

Lots of participants! No boat anchor here, but was wishing I still had my Johnson Valiant
Viking and my HQ-170AC! Heard some chirpy signals that were very nostalgic!

KB1OIQ Operated by: Andy, 6265 from MA

I had just finished my QRP Tuna Can family. I have the tuna can receiver, transmitter,
and amplifier to get 3W output. I also have the Autek QF1 audio filter and a homebrew
audio limiter. Everything runs entirely on battery power (including the modified Autek
QF1). I made 3 QSOs by calling CQ, and I was pleased to get good signal reports from PA,
MD, and OH. The antenna was my 135' doublet with an antenna tuner. Thanks for going
slowly for the new guys like me! 73 de KB1OIQ

AJ4SB Operated by: Rob, 5552T from FL

I actually tried to work this event, as time allowed. Had a great time last night, then
this evening. I look forward to next month.

WB8SDA Operated by: Carmen, 2339 from OH

Always a good time. Looking forward the next ones.

WA2JSG Operated by: Curt, 3018T from NJ

Sorry but could not participate in this WES very much (just one contact thanks to Urb). I
spent a long day Saturday at the NHRA Supernationals in Englishtown NJ
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rt8WjOXC22U) and had too many things to catch up on
(including rest) Sunday. I'll be back in earnest next time.

N2UM Operated by: Gary, 3041T from NY

The WES is a great venue for boatanchors! Sometimes when calling someone, I forgot to
zero beat the VFO. LOL

My Drake 2C, 2NT, 2CQ & Hallicrafters HA-5. Also my keys

WØSZV Operated by: Eldon, 4999T from Mo.

Was not able to get a boat anchor ready. Thunderstorms in the area cut the time short
also, Had a good time and waiting for next month. Eldon

W7GVE Operated by: Ed, 729T from AZ

LOST MY 15M ANT IN WINDSTORM --- FRUSTRATION SET IN WHEN I HEARD SIGS THERE
STILL GREAT FUN.

NV9X Operated by: Jim, 1358T from IL

Great WES, as usual. Had a blast. TU fer all my contacts. Apologies to the ones I could not
copy. Thanks VE3CWU fer 2 bands. TU W9DLN fer 4 bands. IL to WI on 20. TU everyone fer
putting up with me. Digital tried to push me off agn on 7.103, but I did not budge. Next
month WES, FISTS, IARU, all on same weekend. Thanks SKCC.

W4CUX Operated by: Bill, 5497C from GA

Great Sprint. Made contacts on 15, 17, 20 and 40 meters. Love the weekend sprints. Plenty
of time to play around and still have time to make plenty of contacts on different bands
and different conditions. The WX was good to me this time - no issues with thunderstorms,
which is rare this time of the year. Look forward to the next event
73 - Bill

KØLUW Operated by: Russ, 1702T from NE

Storms were a problem at this QTH for this sprint. I was driven off the air for a good
portion of the sprint because of lighting in the area. But still a lot of fun.

W9DLN Operated by: Dan, 3635T from WI

Another great time. Conditions were kind of quiet. Multipliers were hard to come by
too. 20 opened up for a brief gust of DX in the afternoon which helped.

Thanks for all the QSOs everyone. Special thanks to K3UK and K2RFP. Nice to work Andy
during the event and Dick made the cat and bird dance once.

Looking forward to next month...

WB8ENE Operated by: Art, 3773T from OH

This was my first SKCC WES using my new K3. I really enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward
to the weekday sprint on June 23rd. Thanks to all for the contacts. 73, Art WB8ENE

KA5VZG Operated by: Alan, 6264T from TN

No "boat anchor" available, so the first day I went portable on the back porch with my
newly acquired FT-857D to a homebrew pvc generic "buddistick". First time on the air for
any of it. Managed 9 contacts on 40m before the heat (94), humidity (65), darkness, and
thunder put me down for the day. Inside for the rest. Wanted to try another coil on the
portable antenna, but it seemed hotter today. Like all WES, lots of fun. I didn't know
Bob (VE3CWU) was the special station until I started to submit my score. Thanks for 3
bands Bob :-)

KØMC Operated by: Mike, 5241T from CO

Enjoyed what little I was on the air. 40 was good in CO after 9pm. 15 was open shortly
this morning.

NG7Z Operated by: Paul, 802T from WA

It was refreshing to work so many 6000+ numbers this WES. And lots more C's this time
too. Maybe the word is getting out about the sprints. Not a lot of time to work the
contest this time again. But more than last time. About 6 hours total time on. Loudest
signal heard was W0MSM at 20 over S9 with K0LUW close behind. Equipment used was an Icom
756P3, a C3 for 20M and a 402CD for 40M. Never heard anything on 80M or 15M. I was hoping
to get a few more points on those bands. Anyway, will be back for the SKS at the end of
the month. 73 and thanks for the Q's Paul NG7Z

VA3NU Operated by: Larry, 5215 from ON

40 was good Saturday night. Had great time as usual.

WA1AR Operated by: Alan, 4079T from MA

Lots of thing going on but did spend some time Saturday night and Sunday morning. I
fired up a Johnson Ranger and a National HRO. No transitors in there or silicon diodes
for that matter. All keyed with a 1920s original bug. The sidetone is the thumping of the
transformer. The bug is the oldest and works the best for its age. I got one on 80 M and
then got brave and tuned up on 40M and got AF2Z and KM4LT. I was not sure what sideband
I was on so I tried them both and finally got an answer.

WIØS Operated by: Kieth, 2048T from MN

First ever event using tx/rx vintage rigs with manual t/r switching. The Heathkit DX60b
tx and Hallicrafters S40a worked fine together for the first attempt. The Heathkit VF-1
vfo worked great on 80 and 40 meters but really overdrivers on 20 and up to the point
where it is nearly impossible to work anyone. Looks like I have some work to do on the
vfo, also the bandspread on the Hallicrafters is way to coarse on 80, 20, 15 and 10.
Another receiver is in order for any serious vintage operating. All in all is was a lot
of fun and managed a nice log even with poor band condx's. Looking forward to ARRL SKN
2011! 73 Kieth wi0s

WAØBGV Operated by: Slim, 5465T from MO

Lots of electricity in the air (mostly thunder storms in our area) - no contacts on 160
or 80. Most contacts were made on 40-20-15. Had 2 on 10 meter band (KG4W & VA5LF).

I'm the only "Boat Anchor" around here. The Docs took some of my "tubes" out an put them
in my power supply (heart). I guess I've already got my bonus points for that.

Great Sprint! Let's do it again. 73 de Slim

VK4TJ Operated by: John, 4474T from VK

It may not look like much, but this represents my best result ever. 20 mtrs especially
really hung in there!

KD8JHJ Operated by: Mike, 4877C from OH

It was a busy weekend but still got on the air three different sessions. Worked the bug
Saturday night until T-Storms moved in. First contact was Dick K2RFP. Sorry OM I laid
down a big dash with the bug- forgot its not a keyer- I gotta make my own dashes. Hi.
Worked some more stations in the morning and switched to the Vibroplex straight key in
the late afternoon after yard work. FB contact was Andy KB1OIQ/QRP and his tuna tin
rig. Armchair copy in Ohio Andy. This WES was lots of fun and put some new numbers in
the log.

K9ZMD/6 Operated by: Gary, 891T from CA

There was lots of activity in spite of noisy band conditions. It seemed like 20 meters
was quietest, so that band was the workhorse for me. My thanks to all who pulled my signal
through the noisy band conditions, and apologies to those I missed on 15 meters due to
periodic local electrical hash. Status Report: I've already let the queen know she can't
run that clothes washer during sprints anymore. :) Right.

I hauled out the cootie-wired Vibrokeyer again. That was embarrassing, so most of my
contacts were with the SKCC Pro Pump. I smile just to think of that smooth beauty. FWIW:
Nearly 12 percent of the ops that I worked had SKCC numbers in the 6K range, and about
half of those were already sporting C's and T's. Altogether, this is another good sprint
in the log and I'm already planning how to do better next month. 73 to all.

NØUMP Operated by: Bill, 659T from MO

There was a lot of acctivity this weekend and I really enjoyed it as usual. It's so good
to see the usual crowd. Had a lot of delays from the thunder storms that kept rolling
overhead, causing me to pull antennas and hide. Looking forward to the next one.

WS9E Operated by: Joe, 3859 from WI

I mixed a lot of other activities in with the sprint this weekend. I did manage to get
on for a couple of hours. I think the bands were only fair, but there were a surprising
number of SKCC members on. My dipole is only 17 feet off the ground, right now, so I
appreciate the patience shown by other participants in digging me out of the noise. It's
fun working fellow C W enthusiasts. I find myself looking forward to each sprint.
It's all solid state here at WS9E, but I'll be looking forward to seeing what rigs other
people were able to dust off and power up for the Sprint.

K5ENA Operated by: John, 3045T from OK

Propagation not the best. Most contacts were on 20M. Made some on 40M. Always enjoy
our Sprints.

WISH I HAD MY OLE DRAKE STATION STILL.
GOOD BAND CONDITIONS FOR ME MADE FOR A GOOD WES.
THANK YOU TO ALL.

WA5VQM Operated by: Mark, 58C from TX

Not much of a showing for me this month. Work, a local hamfest, and a white-hot 6 meters
had me otherwise occupied. Ran the Drake B-Line for my 20 meter contacts, and the DX-40 /
NC-173 combo for all the 40M contacts. Too much to do in too little time. See ya' next month!

WA1LWS Operated by: Hans, 1933T from MD

Good activity heard here in Maryland, especially on 20 meters. Worked Australia, France,
Italy, Hungary and Spain, but couldn't find the neighboring state of Virginia, go
figure. See you all next time.

K4UFT Operated by: Ted, 4289C from SC

Got in last 45 minutes on Sunday Evening. 5 contacts on 20 Meters.

ARRL VHF Contest was this weekend and was surprised at amount of CW on 6 Meters. Made 35
contacts on 6 Meter CW. Would really like to make some SKCC contacts on 6.

Yaesu FT-950 @ 50 Watts to homebrew vertical. High-dollar Ameco straight key.

VA5LF Operated by: Sean, 4507T from SK

Was doing the VHF contest most of the weekend. Spent a lot of time listening to static,
thinking I should have done the WES instead.

Slim, WA0BGV, wins the "contact with VA5LF" prize this month for being there when I
checked 10 for sporadic-E. Next month, the weekend is marked off for WES exclusively. See
you all then!

AC2C Operated by: Ron, 2748T from MD

A fun sprint and a lot of nice sounding fists.

WØMSM Operated by: Mark, 6585C from MO

First of all, thanks to everyone who helped with repeats while we got hammered with storms
and all the QRN here in MO.,was a real nuisance.Still, with the help from all the great
ops in our group had my best score so far.Good to hear so many new comers, since I joined
this early spring(March)there are almost 300 new numbers!!!Glad to see some action on 10
and 15 meters now,only 5 q`s on 10 but hey it`s my 40-80 inverted vees!! A good surprise
to have EA1EVA,Javi inSpain answer my calls on 20m..Thanks Javi!!!Again it`s a pleasure to
be among a great group of cw ops and look forward to the next go`round, hopefully no
t`storms tho!

AB8XG Operated by: Kenny, 6706 from OH

This was my first WES and had a great time. Had to work Saturday night and didn't get to operate as much as
I would have liked but a good time none the less. Don't own a tube radio so that is something I am going to
have to try an pickup before next time. Only tried 20 and 40 meters and they didn't seem very good fron SE
Ohio, lots of noise on 40 and fading on 20 a couple of stations on 20 were s9 when I called and s1 when they
returned. Thanks to all 73

NØUYN Operated by: Dennis, 5753 from MO

I made the first 9 contacts for the sprint with my Kenwood TS-520S, bought in 1995. I
only recently figured out how to setup semi-QSK keying and how to zero-beat a signal on
the rig. I ran it and my IC-706Mk2G at 15 watts. The key I used is a Hi-Mound HK-708.

Band Conditions seemed marginal through most of the sprint with high noise levels, low
signal strengths, and often severe fading. Conditions improved toward the last few hours.
Overall, a good work-out in CW operation. Thanks to all contacts, new and old. 73.

TS-520S, IC-706Mk2G, HK-708

K6CSL Operated by: Bert, 4486 from CA

This time I worked WES during breaks from ARRL VHF where I was working solely on 6M. I
was unbelievably surprized while calling CQ on 20M to be called by VK3TJ. He also worked
me for the VK Shires Contest(being my only contact in that event. It also did not come to
my attention untol after the WES that I had also worked VE3CWU, the Special station for
this event. Bert, K6CSL

KK7S Operated by: Chad, 6730 from WA

This was a lot of fun. I put in about 6 hours here and there and heard a decent level of
activity whenever I got on the air. I worked only a few on 15m but Bob (VE3CWU) was one
of them -- with a booming signal way out here in Seattle. Thanks to everyone for making
this a fun event!

OH7QR Operated by: Erkki, 6379 from Finland

Sorry, haven't got a "Boat Anchor". Nevertheless I had fun having these six QSOs.

Globe Scout 65A transmitter, rockbound and 65 watts DC input along with a Hallicrafters
SX-110 receiver. Would have been a fine Novice station back about 1959. Spot the receiver
the best you can tuning into a 75 watt light bulb. Listen for a while, then blast away
hoping the clear spot you heard and the rock you got really match. Throw all the switches,
tune up and down trying to pick your callsign out of the jumble. It's still amazing when
it works!

W2VV Operated by: Dave, 6658 from NM

I was portable at about 9000 feet above sea level, on top of Atalaya Mountain in the Santa
Fe National Forest, NM. Rig was FT-817 set for 2.5 watts, antenna was an end-fed
half-wavelength wire in a tree. I only had a few minutes to play radio but made two nice
WES contacts on 20m. 72/73, Dave W2VV

Had short time to make a few...contacts made on 20 and 40. Bands weren't all that
cooperative here. Still had fun. Tnx for all the contacts folks! 73s, jack, KK0I

KG4W Operated by: Ed, 2416T from VA

Didn't start this one till around 2pm on Sunday. Great fun, made lots Q's on 15. Nice to
work SKCC Dx stations - F5DE, OH5FNI, VA2BBW, VE5SG, VE3CWU, VE5BCS, WL7WH, EA3NO,
EA1EVA, VE3DVR, & several other non SKCC dx. All but 5 Qsos made on 10/15 & 20. CU in
next event. beep-beep.

NT9K Operated by: Bill, 1926T from FL

I got cheated out of the sprint. My medicine made me sick and all I could do was watch
everyone having fun. Lots of DX contacts being made, just made it worse. I was really
hoping for a good day, but it just didn't happen. At least I got to work a few of you!
That's better than nothing. Despite all that, when I was able to listen, it comforted me
to know that so many people are having fun in the SKCC WES. Thank you Dick K2RFP, for
keeping the event going and making it even better!
Until next time, 73. Bill NT9K #1926T..

KO7X Operated by: Alan, 6188 from WY

Good signals despite poor conditions. A few weak signals coming through from Europe on
20 meters. Lots of QRN on 40.

W4TMW Operated by: Tom, 6184 from GA

Another fun WES. In all my years of hamming, I've never been on the receiving end of a
pileup....probably about 4 stations, but the mind does funny things :0) Anyway, after the
initial station was worked, there were a bunch of stations calling me which caught me by
suprise. Split second thinking said "take it as traffic" so I responded via the last few
letters of each call I could hear, which worked great. Anyway, it was a great insight
into how some of these DXpedition ops must feel.....hours of solid concentration.
Now it's time to do some antenna work. Tnx for all the contacts, 73 Tom

KQ1P Operated by: John, 5068 from ME

Double trouble for me this month- no boat anchors and not much free time. Conditions were quite good. Worked some
new calls and new members. Fun? Of course....73.

K4BAI Operated by: John, 3280 from GA

Time was limited this month, but thanks for all QSOs. Especially VE3CWU and also
F6HKA. See you all next month I hope. 73, John, K4BAI.

W1RO/7 Operated by: Jim, 1379 from NV

First WES for me. Started accidentally when I woke up at 4 A.M. (local time), and
couldn't get back to sleep, so I turned on 40 meters to hear NG7Z calling CQ WES. Next
checked the web site for the report requirements, then answered the call. Only worked a
few stations but that was enough to get my newly acquired (pre-owned) Speed-X adjusted
for future events. Thank you to whomever does all the administrative work involved in
this event. You are appreciate. 73, Jim, W1RO/7

N2FJ Operated by: Fred, 4410 from NY

I would like to thank George N2JNZ for helping me get my bug adjusted and getting me
interested into SKCC. I had a great time with the first SKCC test and was amazed at how
supportive everyone was with my learning how to use a bug. 73 Fred N2FJ

N2JNZ Operated by: George, 2836T from NY

Best WES ever !!! Had a great time !! Many thanks to all I worked !! Surprised by Bert ,
F6HKA when I got him on 80 meters with a 40 meter vertical. And my buddy Fred , N2FJ in
his first WES on 3 bands (he lives 6 miles away) 40m was great and 20 was in good shape
also. Lots of high numbers which is fantastic and got to work a few old friends I havent
heard in ages !!! All in all a great group and a great event !! Thanks also to Randy ,
KB4QQJ for the last SECOND QSO which got me to 80 !!!

W3NP Operated by: Dave, 3182T from WV

I used vintage gear (100ube) for all my QSO's. The Ranger was parked on 20 and saw the
most action as that seemed to be the best band for me. I used the Eico 720 and HA-5 VFO on
40 and the DX-40/HA-5 made the lone 80 meter QSO. 45-50 watts with all rigs. The 75A4 was
the receiver used. A single switch transfers the VFO and key to the various transmitters.
It is a lot more work to run separate TX/RX and remembering to zero beat the TX each time.
Staying put and calling CQ worked best for me.
Overall I thought condx were poor, especially on 40. I was thrilled to have John VK4TJ
reply to my CQ on 20 late Sat evening followed by Stan ZL2BLQ. The Ranger is not used to
such DX!! On Sunday afternoon I caught F6HKA, IK2RMZ, HA8EN, OH7QR, EA1EVA, and F5DE.
I used my 1963 Blue Racer Deluxe for all Q's. All in all it was a great sprint and I
enjoyed using my vintage gear.

KF7ATL Operated by: Garth, 5914 from UT

Due to family responsibilities, I only operated for a short time on Saturday night. Forty meters was open to the East
Coast, and I found myself on the recieving end of a minor pileup. That was exhausting, but great fun! I didn't realize
that Utah is considered a rare state. Next time I will post my frequency on the sked page, as suggested by Urb. Thanks
to all who were patient with my requests for repeats! Looking forward to next month, when I may get to have a little
longer operating time!

As you can see by other reports from here in Missouri it didn't get much better through
the evening. Sunday morning was much better here and we managed to catch a few Q's and new
some new numbers. VE3CWU, Bob that is a great picture...you had a great signal in
Edgerton, Mo. thanks for the 20/40 QSO's. Thanks to all for all the fun....

Only 2 QSO in 40m band, others 20 meters, and a lot of noise.
With my Yaesu FT-902DM only 10 Qso because I can not amplifier conection with this
transceiver. Others 29 my old ts-850.See in the next Javi 5871T

I make only 10 QSO´s with this transceiver

Enjoyed it!

S52CC Operated by: Vince, 5011 from Slovenia

Starting off with Bob, VE3CWU the sprint seemed promising, but continued with many
unanswered calls. So I cannot claim the Flameproof, my newest acquisition went through a
real baptism of fire. I am still thankful to Randy, KB4QQJ, the middleman, Kevin, K4GEK,
the seller of the impeccable key, and Bojan, S57M, the provider of its polished stainless
steel base. Thanks also to all members who tried to contact me, see you in the next WES!

Not a boat anchor, but a nice piece of CW history

KCØRSX Operated by: Len, 14 from MN

Going for minimum score...hee, hee. The saving grace is that the one QSO was on 10 meters.

K2PAY Operated by: Jerry, 4304T from NY

I made the two required contacts with the Swan 700CX first. Since this boat anchor takes
time to tuneup, I used it only on 20 meters loaded to just under 100 watts. The newer rigs
are much easier to switch bands. Just point and click. The antenna was a Windom at 40
feet. I finished up using the Yaesu FT-450. Thanks to all 73, Jerry

F5DE Operated by: Bernard, 6247T from France

Again it was a pleasure to participate in my sixth WES event.
13 DXCC countries including VE and W stations were contacted.
My DX was VK4TJ, and I was also pleased to contact Bob VE3CWU on 20 m for an extra bonus.
See you all in July !
Bernard, F5DE.

Again worked the WES with 5 watts. Operated outside on the patio both days in 90 deg TX
WX. Used a K2, 44 ft EDZ at 28 ft mounted on poles fed with open wire feeder and a 4:1
balun. A NORCAL Doublet look alike. Also used a home brew (not me) cootie for the first
time ever. Thanks to those who dug me out of the noise and for my rough keying. Will
reserve it for the home brew key WES while waiting for Bill to finish the side swiper
design with Key Concepts.

Home Brew Cootie first time on the air

W1HFF Operated by: Joe, 6309 from MA

Conditions were poor and the band was quite noisy but as usual, I had a good time anyway.
Thanks again to the SKCC group for having the WES. Looking forward to the next one.

K7TKT Operated by: Brian, 6695 from ID

This was my first WES and was a real motivator to get the TS-830S working again. I
finally determined that the problem with it has a bad or sticky T/R relay. Got it
working well enough to go on the air for the WES and used it for all my contacts. I only
had a few hours but had a great time. Thanks to all who had to repeat. About half the
time the T/R only got half way back to receive so I had bouts of deafness. Special
thanks to Harold (VA3HS). You were so patient and sent so slow for me. Wasn't the speed
it was my relay cutting in and out. Radio gave up after that but it will be back. I
rediscoverd that I like it better than my my newer one (no menus, just knobs!)

Did not get really into the swing of it, had grand daughters from Arizona for the weekend
and only see them once a year so the WES took a back seat this time. Not the best of
conditions here, Europe just never really worked for qrp this time and had to really
listen for a long time. I will be back next time and hopefully work lots of new hams, oh
yeah, got 11 new bands and 3 new numbers. Thanks to all the ears that heard my qrp.

This is a re-submission. Hope I get it right this time.

Big fun!

VE5SG Operated by: Garry, 6154 from SK

Pulled out from retirement my old SB301/401. They sure showed their age but did the whole
sprint with them.

KB4QQJ Operated by: Randy, 3508T from NC

As always I had a great time. Bands were great for a change but due to thunder boomers I
was shut down for most of the event. I got in about four good hours. Had a blast reviving
the old HW-16, chirp and all. I got two "557 C" rst reports..ha ha loved it. Keys were a
1954 Vibroplex Blue Racer and a 2010 prototype of the coming Patriot key. Strongest signal
was Bob, VE3CWU at 40 over! Great work Bob.
Thanks to NT9K, Bill for our first 15 meter contact I think. fifteen meters seemed to be
the band of choice for a while. And I hope the "597 C and 597 K" rst's were accepted as
the compliments I meant them to be!! And hope I got the timing right for Kieth, WI0S and
his manual tx/rx rig. I used to love the sound of that big toggle switch echoing in all
that metal...sigh...great fun and I look forward to next year. It was great to hear all
the high numbers out there. 73 es BCNU Randy_KB4QQJ

Special thanks to Dick, K2RFP and the SKCC Admins for inviting me to be Special Op for
SKCC WES. This is indeed an honor for this new Ham of only 18 months. Opening highlights
were KL8DX (Phil) in Alaska (00:03U) then S52CC Vince (00:09). WOW, this is exciting!
Opened on 20m and ran there for about 2 hours then went to 40m. Didn’t go to 80m until I
followed a few stations from K3UK sked page(at about 05:30U) 80m was disappointing,
didn’t hear much, ran for a while, but only picked up 6 Qs. Tried 160m with Dan W9DLN but
couldn’t hear him, or anyone else. Took a sleep break for about 2 hours. Opened again on
20m at 10:00U. Thought it might be a bit too early as we were just barely breaking
daylight. F6HKA Bert was the first QSO of (my) morning and quickly picked up six more EU
Qs there, including 3 new DX contacts for me. Mid day 10m was pretty quiet, only 2 Qs,
but did manage 18 15m Qs. Last 1-1/2 hours went running on 40m and was very successful.
Watching the K3UK page I saw VK4TJ John working 14.061 and asked him to give me a call.
Thanks John it was my closing highlight. I had a blast and want to thank all the ops for
giving me a great time. Hope I get invited to do this again sometime in the future. Best
73, Bob, VE3CWU

Thanks to the stations for sticking with me. K0KEX was a trooper! Here we worked the
contest with solid state but did play around with a home brew cootie key.
