Soapbox
N0LT MConditions were poor off my end fed wire on 40. K0IVK was rocking in MO but could hear little else. Heard K9SKC 449 in IA but after much effort they could not copy my K1 through the QSB. 1st but not last Sprint-fun stuff. TU. John N0LT

KB9BVN I got started in the afternoon, and missed any opening on 20m...got all my contacts on 40m with the K2 at 8 watts and my Nye Viking Master Key. This is the first Weekend Sprint I have tried. Bad WX kept me indoors. 40m died at about 22:30Z here in Central Indiana. Thanks to everyone that worked me!

WU7R Thanks for another FB SKCC event. I worked this event while waiting for ten meters to open up in MT (it never did). As always, it was fun to work other members and a few non-members. I used primarily an Elecraft K-2/100 running 100 watts and a Vizkey Verticle bug. I also used a Ten Tec Century 21 with a Vibroplex Blue Racer.

N9QU Tnx to all for QSO's made and missed.
Conditions a bit rough, but got to exercise my new call.
Lots of fun, looking for more next month.

N2JNZ Started out with my spring tension too loose on my key so kinda sloppy fist but once I got it adjusted right it sounded better !! Worked some nice DX on 20 including GB2IWM (Imperial War Museum). Had fun but condx not great.

KC2SKI My first sprint, intimidating at first but a lot of fun. Web instructions and primer were a big help. Can't wait for the next one. Thanks.

KD5ZKU Very enjoyable, in spite of my alarmingly incompetent fist. All the SKCC ops I worked were patient, courteous, and friendly. A great group and a pleasant sprint-a-thon.

Thank you for this opportunity to gather up my courage and get on the air!

KC6ZZT New SKCC member. My first Sprintathon. Difficult propogation conditions given the sunspot cycle, but I was able to make some contacts.

SKCC Sprint ops are so much nicer to work than others on non-SKCC contests; it was a pleasure. In contrast, I tried to work the 160 Meter ARRL contest the previous week, and no one was using a straight key, all going too fast for me, and many would not slow down.

I'm in the game now, and look forward to work both weekend and the weekday Sprints.

Tnx to all!

K9JP Had a Great time in a cold basement shack - 55 degrees. Could not send the call sign of Rip, AA4HT correctly to save my life! Enjoyed new contacts with older and newer club members. 73, Jeff -K9JP SKCC 3008T

AC2C Great time. I worked many members for the first time. I also had exchanges with 5 non-members and worked K9SKC on 3 different bands.

K6FFY I only worked the Sprintathon a short time, but I got to use my new GHD GT501 MIL. What a pleasure to use. It may be a little costly, but well worth it.

W3RT Great WES. Called to work on Sunday, so I missed about 8 hours of fun CW. My score is getting better through a lot of good contacts & practice. Thanks to all that worked me and found me on 2 or more bands.

Red in PA

W9CC I worked two non-members. K4FS, Ran, wants to be a member very much. I told him how to go about getting a number by becoming a member. He would love some feedback. It was a fun contest. I gave my SKCC key a workout and enjoyed myself. I hope you all did too.

N3JJT I wanted to spend more time working stations, once I saw there was a sprint going on. Still, it was fun and I picked up a few new ones for the log. The sprints in this club are fun. Short exchanges, different speeds, and just enjoyable! Tnx to all!

KL7GLL Too many holiday activities and responsibilities to give any serious time to WES this month. Wrkd Jack, W7QQQ, on 20 mtrs near the end of the WES, but very few SKCC signals on the bands.

K5PAX Only able to play for a little while.
Look forward to the next.

KB4QQJ Better than expected on 20m. 80/40 was noisy but active. Tried my best with Terry,N6IKX but alas...not this time. He has become a mission now hi hi. No pun on "HI" intended! Thanks to all for another fun time.

W6UT/K9SKC Contacts on 80/40/20/15(4)/10(1). I know there were some I could not copy QSB/QRN. 80M was in good shape Sat night. Worked a number of East Coast stations. W7QQQ,W1DV,AC2C & AE6DH had contacts on 3 Bands. Number of others on 2 Bands. Lot of pounding the key. Getting warmed up for Special Event K2A/6 next month. Had a great time.

K0DBK First contact during the WES was with K9SKC/W6UT, which was my first club bonus. Last contact was with a non-member, KE7OTO. I had a good time as usual. Tnx to all 7 of my contacts. 73, Brad K0DBK

K0IVK My 3rd weekend Sprint. 1st using sked page, it really made a difference!! The non-member bonus was really difficult for me(was only able to count one)to get all the info. Had lots of fun. Worked K9SKC for 1st time.

W1DV Conditions up and down but had a good time - even had some QSOs on 160M. Dennis W6UT did a superb job keeping club call K9SKC active and available; seems like every time I checked another band, there was K9SKC working a pile. I thought seriously about skipping church Sunday a.m. but since I'm the pastor that would have been a little difficult. Worked eight non-members; four are going to apply. Looking forward to next one - semper cw de Dave W1DV

K8NB Again lots of fun in the WES. Signals seemed pretty good up here in Michigan, at least when I was on. First WES with my new "C" and it put a good dent in the "T" application. Seems like I heard a lot of members I have not heard before. Thanks all.
Noel, K8NB

NT9K I seemed to have trouble with my fist Saturday night, much better Sunday morning. I used 6 different keys, mostly the Annie Bug and my Navy Flameproof. Lots of activity, but I missed some regulars like AF2Z and K0LUW. Hardly a sprint goes by that I don't get to log them.

Lots of new calls this time too. Dave W1DV had the biggest signal on Sunday morning 40 over S9. Other strong stations were W7QQQ and KC2SKI. I hope to see 50 entries this time!
73, Bill NT9K..

AD5VC Ran 35W max to a vertical, working 20 and 40 mostly. Plenty of signals, and a number of good fists heard at all speeds. I look forward to SKN.

K1NV 80 meters was still the mainstay for me although a few QSO's were made on 40M and 20M. I got enough new numbers to qualify for Centurion. I was only able to operate on Saturday night, but eked out a couple of QSO's on 20M on Sunday afternoon. Finally caught W7IEX in Reno for that rare SKCC Nevada contact. No Alaska or Hawaii heard this time.

W7QQQ SKCC must be really catching on... a lot of participation in this one... never a dull moment!

Surprised to log more T's(33) than C's(20).

Very windy here, but my stealthy 26 gauge wire antennas survived ok.

I used a Vibroplex bug... fun.

KB9YGD one qso with w0jfr tnx es 73 de kb9ygd

AA4HT Conditions were better than the last sprint and I was able to make contacts on 20, 40, and 80 Meters. Enjoyed it very much and wish I had been able to spend more time on the sprint.

AA2XB Only had a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon. Found 40 and 80 dead. All contacts made on 20 meters.

KE9YK Thanks to all of you who slowed down for me Wish I could have spent more time but had a blast.

K8JD I only had a few hours to operate, but managed to have a good time. Mostly was on 80 and 40 M but got one on 160M and even a few on 20M. Thanks to the stations I caught on two bands for the extra points !

N1VWD Icom 736@ 100W
Windom @ 30ft
Bencher RJ-1 key

WB9WHG My first contest other than FD - Great time!

K5IZO I didn't operate much this weekend but I still had a lot of fun. I used 5 more keys from my collection. Tnx es 73, de John

W7DAX My first SKCC sprint of any sort. Very enjoyable. Great folks!

N8UO I only had a few minutes to devote to the sprint Sunday Afternoon, but managed a few contacts including K9SKC (W6UT op) which was neat. Hope to be able to devote more time next sprint. Everybody keep up the good work and hope to see ya in SKN & K2Y next year! 73 happy holidays Ken N8UO

N4RE Finally, I can double check and maybe get that "C". Lots of guys I had not heard before.

K0LUW Was not able to operate much during this sprint (3 hours) because I had to entertain out of two visitors. It looked like a lot of folks really hit it hard and had a lot of fun.

KI4CIA The WES was a blast! This was the first real test of my new dipole and it worked wonderful! Thanks to all who participated!!
