New for 2010 - prizes
In an effort to encourage more members to operate K3Y stations and to participate in K3Y activities, the K3Y Event Planning Group has decided to offer prizes for particpation in the 2010 event.

2010 K3Y Prize Details
The 2010 K3Y Anniversary Planning Group continues to investigate various prize options for those participating in the anniversary activities. There will be prizes available for K3Y operators as well as for members contacting K3Y stations.
With the prize funds currently available, we can offer the following prizes:
1. There will be at least six "NT9K Pro-Pump - SKCC Club Key 2010" keys. Shipping will be prepaid for anywhere within the 48 contiguous United States.
2. Tom, K9TB, SKCC #2953 has provided a like new "LTA Model BBMO Gold Plated Cootie" key. Shipping will be prepaid for anywhere within the 48 contiguous United States.
3. We will also give away a Gift Certificate good for 250 Color SKCC QSL cards, including shipping, from
CheapQSLs.com

Prize Drawing Details
- An awards committee will generate the "tickets in the hat" from the final 2010 K3Y event logs and will perform
a blind random drawing of the winning members.
- All drawings will be held at the end of the event when the logs have been finalized.
- The first prize drawing will be awarded to a K3Y Area Operator based on a random drawing. Each K3Y operator
will have one "ticket in the hat".
- All subsequent prize drawings will be awarded to SKCC members who logged a QSO with a K3Y station. Each member
will have a maximum of twelve "tickets in the hat" representing each area logged. So a member who has worked all
twelve areas will have twelve chances to win and a member who has logged one area will have one chance to win.
- Each prize winner will have a choice of the prizes remaining in the prize pool.
- Any member who has contacted K3Y area stations with more than one callsign is requested to notify the SKCC K3Y
Event Coordinator (AC2C) so that appropriate adustments can be made to the final drawing list.
- Prize winners will be posted on the Yahoo User's Group, on the forum, and on this web page and will have 2 weeks
to claim their prize before another drawing is held.
- Club membership, for the purposes of prize eligibility, will be based upon membership status as of 31 January 2010.
Any member whose membership date is on or before 31 January 2010 will be considered eligible for the entire month of
January.
- All decisions of the 2010 K3Y awards committee are final.
Donations are no longer being solicited and any future donations received will be deposited into the club's general fund. The K3Y Planning Group would like to express appreciation to the following members, listed alphabetically, who have provided donations for prizes:
