Gene, KL7GLL manages the
certificate program for WES participants. With design help from Ron, AC2C, and
Pete, KC1JB, a series of beautiful certificates has been developed. As outlined
below, participation certificates will be sent out in .pdf format to qualifying
WES entrants.
There are four classes of WES
participation certificates as follows:
1) all first-time entrants – These
certificates have an orange border with a J-38 key watermark in background.
2) DX entrants – These
certificates recognize multiple entries (5, 10, 15, 20, etc.) in monthly WES
events. These certificates have a red
border, with a different key watermark for each level. For example, with 5 DX entries, the
certificate has the J-38 key watermark; for 10 DX entries, the certificate has
a Navy flameproof key watermark; for 15 DX entries, the certificate has a
watermark of an NT9K homebrew key crafted in corian; for 20 DX entries, the
certificate has a Vibroplex deluxe key watermark.
3) QRP entrants – These
certificates recognize multiple entries (5, 10, 15, 20, etc.) in monthly WES
events. These certificates have a green
border, with a different key watermark for each level, similar to the pattern
for the DX certificates above.
4) Regular U.S. participants –
These certificates recognize multiple entries (10, 25, 50, etc.) by SKCC
Members residing in the contiguous 48 U.S. states in WES events. These
certificates have a blue border, with a different key watermark for each level,
similar to the pattern for the DX certificates above.
Certificate recipients for DX, QRP, and regular U.S. recognition levels are noted on the “WES Statistics” Webpage, with this list updated shortly after each WES.. Gene, KL7GLL,WES Awards Manager, will, upon request, resend certificates to SKCC Members who, for whatever reason, may have lost or may not have received their certificate in a timely manner. Please submit such request to KL7GLL at ebuck43@aol.com.
