KQ1P - John
Conditions were not so great and I only made QSOs on 20M. I'm tempted to go QRO sometimes! Thanks to all who were able to copy me, or tried to. 73, John.
K5ENA - John
This was really exciting. I've been in ham radio for 49 years but this is the first time I have worked Italy on CW. Worked my second England CW contact. Just could not pull in 9A2VJ. Wish I had a beam, hi! K5ENA
LW3EX - Walt
GREAT SHOW DXT ! Thanks to all specially SKCC fellows that run the event Looking forward to the next... 73, Walt 3804T - ..-
K9JP - Jeff
Thanks for another fun WES! I had fun and bands were very intersting! Special thanks to John, G0RDO for hearing my qrp signal. Great Ears there John! 73 to ALL, Jeff - K9JP
WA1AR - Alan
Did not operate much due to antenna problems and Fathers day activity. One common PL259 connector to the input of the antenna switch had the insulating material carbonize makeing a variable resistor from 7 ohms to a few K ohms in parallel. Before I figured out it was the connector I redid the coax to the connection at least 4 times. I finally used a new connector after I noticed the connector would get hot. Only worked 7 stations while I was testing and did so with SWRs of 10:1 or better. Of course this made me an unintentional QRP station. Alan WA1AR
KG4W - Ed
Boy, would I like to borrow a VE call for this one !!. Nice event. Couldn't make it past midnight either night. Guess not too bad for a Carolina Windom, need to put a beam on my 75' tower that's vacant. My Ten Tec omni 6 is off freq TX vs RX which caused me some aggrevation when answering cqs. Enjoyed Andys sked page, kinda keeps the interest level up !! 73 to all.... Ed
KA1XC - John
Was away on vacation so only got a few hours in Sunday. 20 was poor, weak sigs and lots of QRN from wet weather. Made QSO's with John G0RDO, and also Andy UU1CC on 2 bands. Event was fun to operate, thanks to all!
AC2C - Ron
The DX-Travaganza was a terrific event. I was hampered by thunderstorms the first day and by "honey do" and other events the second day. However, I managed 8 QSOs including 5 DX and 3 of the six special stations.
NT9K - Bill
The first night was great! I felt pretty good and worked lots of SKCC DX and featured operators. The bands were decent and even 15 and 10 meters was producing. Got new members and new SKCC DX countries in the log this time. I felt bad the rest of the event and did the best I could. Thanks everyone for participating. Thanks to the featured operators, the award plaque donors and the people behind the scenes who helped put this together. I hope everyone had a good time. If so, we might do this again! 73, Bill NT9K
UU1CC - Andy (sleepy)
Great contest, really DX - something alike CQWW without steroids :-) Thanx to all and good night (didn't sleep during the contest) ps. There was a lot of hams, who assumed my "CQ DXT" as usual "CQ DX", give me a call, signal report, info about his antenna, weather and, yes, POWER, but it was not a sprint contacts, am I right? Anyway, I've counted QSO's with SKCC members only and, thought, it should be better to use another sprint CQ next time.
K4OSO - MILT
A fun event. I think I surpassed my cumulative lifetime total of CQ's sent with a straight key. I know I surpassed my cumulative total of "unanswered" ones. :-) Glad I had the Begali Blade to take the pressure off. Can't wait for the next DXT. Milt
KK0I - Jack
It was a fun event...I'm not much of a DXer...not set up for it but managed to snag 5 outside the U.S. Used the "old gal" again (1919 Vibroplex Original). Tnx for all the contacts folks!
W5ZR - Bert
In spite of very poor DX conditions this was a fun contest. The All Asian worldwide contest caused some serious QRM when the bands were open to Asia. I made a total of 104 qsos, of which 44 were with DX stations. The DX members of SKCC showed up in good numbers. Father's Day duties took a big chunk out of Sunday. Looking forward to the next DX-T!
KB4QQJ - Randy
Well, I had a blast. First, I would like to thank the Featured Operators. Each one of you guys, DX and Domestic, made this event a real pleasure. I want to do it again. Didn't get to operate much, but got to operate from a fellow members shack for a few contacts. Larry, AE4LD, let me run his Orion II at 30 watts.....into an big gray box that turned that 30w into 1500 watts!!! Yikes! That was a shocker! Made me laugh. Made contacts from 2 watts at home to 1500 watts from Larry's. Strongest signal this time was Bert, W5ZR, at something higher than my 703 could read! I made 42 contacts, 7 DX stations, 7 featured op Q's. Thanks to everybody that participated. 73, Randy _ KB4QQJ
K5EWJ - Cookie
It was an enjoyable contest. We did compete for the bands with the All Asia and the West Virginia QSO Party. I worked 12 SKCC DX members and 4 DX non-members. I don't know how many DX stations are members or how many countries are represented. Conditions were not good with a flux of only 67 this week end. I certainly had a lot of fun and it seemed like the other participants did as well.
WB5JWI - Les
Annoying, frustrating, aggravating and a lot of fun. I swear either the alien mother ship spent most of Saturday over my QTH absorbing RF or someone switched me to a dummy load or my antennas turned into "noradiatum". If it weren't for the 5 contacts I did make, all US - never heard any DX except Canada and they didn't hear me - I would have thought there was a problem with the rig. Having said that, I'll be back next time. A big challenge and fun in a strange kind of way. I only hope propagation gets better. K3UK's page was great - at least I knew I wasn't the only one having problems. I did pick up 3 new numbers and one new state - tnxs to Earl, Jim and Russ. Thank you to all who made it possible and who hung in there to work me. I never did get out with my Century 21 as QRP. I gave that up finally and went to 100 watts and that helped. My code is kind of slow for 20 mtrs but I'll work on that, and rethink my antenna set ups. Next time I intend to do much better. I don't do much DX work but these events could change my mind. Thanks for all the work done by the club setting this up.
VK4TJ - John
Think positive, guys 'n gals! You *CAN* work that DX. On many occassions, I had to resort to telling people they were being heard in VK and begging for skeds.I still felt that domestic stations working domestic stations for points made it an order of magnitude harder for DX to be heard and acknowledged.Superb conditions on 40 mtrs certainly rewarded the early risers - strongest dignals I have EVER heard from stateside.Even 20 mtrs was playing well considering we had a solar flux of only 67.
G0RDO - John
Had most contacts on 20M and strangely the signals came up late in each day here - 2100z on. During daylight hours very few sigs. The AA Test was a Big problem, no one seems to ask QRL? anymore. Still - overall very good fun and I managed 51 DX contacts. FT-897,100 watts to a Cushcraft MA6V vertical and a G5RV up 30ft for 40M. Key used was a Danish Amplidan. 73
N9QU - Leo
Great weekend event. Hoping for more air time, more sunspots and more contacts in the next one. Thanks to all for all your efforts. 73 es gud DX
K0KEX - Rick
Storms across Missouri Friday evening/Saturday morning and the AA contest was a problem here. I was pleased to work four DX stations including G0RDO, thanks John. Other DX stations on 20M were 559 but I was unable to get a signal to them. Looks like antenna work here after Field Day.... Great event...thanks to all. 73's Rick
WR5RR - Ron
It was great fun! Unlike other contests, at least for me, it was not at a frenzy level, and made personal because of Andy’s’ sked page. Nice to see stations I wanted to work, or stations wanting to work me listed on the sked page. Thanks to all for the patience shown to me, and others. Having not been back on CW very long since the mid 70's it was a great learning experience. Thanks to the featured ops for being there for all. Thanks to those who coordinated the event and everybody that participated.
KC2EGL - Michael
Unfortunately I did not have much time to do the radio thing this weekend. But I was able to make a few QSO's. One of which was DX. Great idea for a contest. I will make a better attempt during the next DX-Travaganza. 73 Michael
W4FOA - Tony Martin
Great fun, excellent band conditions and some very BIG signals. I think Bill has hit upon a super idea for SKCC contests. Thank you Bill for all of the time you have put in to making this a success. And thanks to all of the operators for participating. 73 - Tony, W4FOA - SKCC 0641T
IK2SON - TONY
Thanks to all boys I it I have heard several but I could n't make me listen but I do not lament I worked 10 /15/20/40/80 the dear John G0RDO and all other I hope the next time to do better as we say in the Italian or sole Mio thanks SKCC for the opportunity 73 for all by Tony
w0szv - Eldon

N4KGL - Greg
I mixed the event with alot of other activities. I ran 5 watts. I enjoyed some 15 meters contacts. Always fun. K4OSO I was demoing the rig at our club so thanks for the second 20 meter contact
VE3CWU - Bob
Thanks to all of the SKCC organisers, Admins, Elmers and special ops. This new-time ham(6 months now) just got on the air in January with the "no CW endorsment". Started learning CW at that time. (I have "brushed" with amature radio most of my life, this is my brothers 50th anniversary.) Found SKCC members chatting on 40m in January. "Hey, this slow stuff is for me" (hi hi). Spent many hours listening to many many QSOs, but just haven't had the nerve to press that key! Tail-ended a few QSOs ( not even a dozen) since January. Did a couple of SKCC 2 hour sprints and weekend sprints. (Even did WPX, but those are just call signs, 599 and a few numbers. Morse Runner is a good learning tool for that!) I think the SKCC-DXT brought me out of my shell and don't think I will have the same "fear of messing up" that I have had so far. Many thanks to those ops that made me work that little bit harder when they took me on into and "extended exchange" or short rag chew. DX-T was a lot of fun and a great learning experience. ( P.S. I find myself spending much more time now on the lower ends of the bands than the upper, it's more fun and a greater challenge!) 73, Bob VE3CWU
AF2Z - Drew
Didn't have much time for the contest. Just made a few contacts for the record. No DX. Three of my four contacts were with Ed KG4W on 40/80/160. Next time...

the dx-travaganza was a fantastic idea! neither the weather, nor band conditions, nor a busy weekend (that i hadn't expected) sadly disrupted my participation. the noise was so overpowering, i could barely dig milt out of the mud and i know i was REALLY light on him, as well. used my k-1, random wire, and a nifty navy flameproof i picked up from bill.
WR5RR - Ron

Equipment here was: 20: IC706 original 100 watts to Hygain TH3 MK III 3 el tribander at 9 mtrs 40: Same except antenna is a ladder-line fed 160 mtr dipole, also at 9 mtrs Those of you who have worked me or come close know that I hear really, really well. I now have some Ukrainian fire bottles in hand to see if I can make up for the apparent noise problems at YOUR end. Really loathe to go QRO, but after 100 or more busted skeds because the other party could not hear me.... 73 John
K9JP - Jeff
Equipment Used for this event was: Elecraft K1-4 at 5 watts into ground mounted Gap Challenger vertical. Key was Navy Flameproof. Thanks to all who could copy my weak signal. 73 Jeff - K9JP/QRP
HC2A - Allan
Thanks for very nice event. Few time to operate, 20m was frustrating from Ec, all qso in 40m. Father`s day shortage a lot of time (and fun) but family is first. Equipment used: Elecraft K2 (2.5w) conected to HF packer amp (50w) conected to Heathkit SB200 (500w). Key is navy flameproof. Ant is a hombrew quater wave vertical antenna for 40 and 30m. I suggest to give adittional points to newcomers in order to incentivate participation. In fact not shure how to calculate but think about it. Until next event.
